In Malaysia, they did that by kicking Singapore out to retain Malay supermajority (With Singapore in, Chinese population will be so big, it cannot be a Malay country)
In Singapore, the ruling party retain power by ACTUALLY DELIVERING ON THEIR PROMISES and improve people's lives so visibly and significantly that it is counter intuitive to vote against. And over time, opposition party just fail to get traction as they get less and less competent vs what the ruling party can attract.
Never go into racial politics unnecessarily. Trump still won hard in 2024 without that.
