Asake left YBNL and Olamide disappeared from his shows. The same Olamide that used to pull up for him is now suddenly quiet and busy. Brother for life only lasts as long as the contract does.

Reading the story of #LagosLife founder on Zikoko and something caught my attention. She learned coding in 2018 and got her first gig in 2020 which paid her N60k which she used to buy a Charles Babbage-gen laptop. She was always posting about her work on Facebook and, one day in 2021, someone contacted her from Malaysia and hired her to be paying her $1k monthly. She didn't apply. $1k in 2021 was about N500k. Big money for a 21 year old girl in Aba. That's the importance of visibility. Showing your work. Showing her work on Facebook got her a remote job she didn't apply for.
