RFK Jr.'s a disgusting racist. We all know that. But as Anti-Arab and Islamophobic hate rises, and as this vile rhetoric puts people in danger, we must all speak out louder than the hate. We will not let these fascists win.
US Secretary of Health Robert F Kennedy Jr. has said that Arabs don’t produce science or literature, or win Nobel prizes. RFK Jr.’s remarks, which were made during a Republican rally, have been widely condemned as factually incorrect and racially biased.

Wild to have a picture of Assata Shakur on your wall and to discredit Cuba as a dictatorship.

if Angie Nixon knew as much about the BPP as she thinks she does she’d know that they were heavily inspired by Cuba. Read some of the books you talk about

This is true about a lot of black folk tbh. Glamorizing the panthers but forming politics directly in their opposition

And now comes the capital strike.
The entire Financial Times editorial board has published a piece urging Lula to cut government spending and appoint a finance minister who enjoys the confidence of investors. I get the impression that the FT editorial board has never opened an economics book other than some outdated introductory macroeconomics textbook, perhaps something by Mankiw. Otherwise, it's hard to explain such astonishing arrogance and economic ignorance. Lula and the Brazilian people have absolutely no reason to bow to the demands of financial markets. Brazil is Latin America's largest economy, a major regional power, and a country with a high degree of monetary sovereignty. Around 97% of the central government's debt is denominated in its own currency, the Brazilian real. The relationship between the state and financial markets is therefore nothing like the FT portrays it. Brazil is not dependent on financial markets. On the contrary, financial markets depend on government spending, which creates financial assets for the private sector, while government debt denominated in the national currency is one of the instruments through which those assets are held. What Brazil needs is not capitulation to financial markets, but an independent economic policy focused on expanding production, creating jobs, and improving people's living standards. Armed with the insights of heterodox economic theory, Brazil has the potential to show the world what a genuine economic miracle looks like. ft.com/content/79785581-88c2…

And now international capital strikes, demonstrating without fail, which side of the political spectrum it is committed to. Understand that the rise of fascism in Brazil and elsewhere is being underwritten, as smash and grab is fundamentally all the western world has left to offer at this point in time, and working class and oppressed people's anywhere and everywhere aren't going to just roll over for that. youtube.com/watch?v=1l1Jw146…

Oh brother...
It’s disappointing to have to say this, but @CBSNews, this is a serious failure of editorial reporting. I clearly state in this clip that while I have not personally been to Cuba, I have spoken with Cubans who have described it as a dictatorship, and I believe them. To claim I declined to answer the question is categorically false. That is not journalism. It is misinformation.

Good summation.
The Economist: Lula must punish the working class and reduce social spending, or else we’ll be very upset.

Lowering the Medicare eligibility age to 50 would guarantee healthcare to millions of more Americans at a critical age where earlier detection and treatment can make a big difference for patient outcomes. Let’s pass this bill!

Another person has died in ICE custody — this is the 28th known death this year. The cruelty of this rogue agency is beyond unconscionable. Abolish ICE.
