Stop gaslighting. Stop attacking the audience. Stop pretending the messaging doesn’t matter
Men have been treated as disposable, villainized, and neglected for years. Many of the games they grew up with were one of the few places that didn’t do that. Now even those franchises are pushing the same message: you’re weak, insignificant, unappreciated, and replaceable
You can’t blame men for refusing to buy games made by people who openly hate them, for audiences that celebrate that dislike
Men were told not to buy them, they aren't the target audience, and no-one cares about them, so they stopped buying.
Also, before anyone even thinks of saying it, Resident Evil 9 (and many other titles) proved the audience is undeniably still there when the product respects them, the franchise, and that have incredible female characters. These men love women and great female characters. The problem isn’t “men hating women.” It’s men who are tired of being abused and treated as the enemy. Being sidelined in every conceivable way. Having nowhere to go. Having every escape they had co-opted and used to further abuse them and minimize everything about them
The simple truth is it’s those people, those accusers, who deeply, DEEPLY, and disturbingly hate men, but they use their privilege and social power to abuse men into compliance and to silence them by saying they hate women. They are the girl/boy who cried wolf, and they are often the awful, hateful abusers they accuse others of being

this is a perfect example of why all HR departments should be dissolved.
The silly and crazy names have been going viral for almost a week straight and getting people excited/talking about the game.
The some HR loser comes in and is like "FUN!? NOT ON MY WATCH"

PlayStation thought the game was called physical and had to back out
As confirmed earlier through our official channels, in mid-June of this year, we unexpectedly received notice from PlayStation Studios that they would cancel the PHYSINT project. PHYSINT is an important project both to me personally and to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of PHYSINT, our genre-defining action-espionage title, is ongoing and will continue moving forward.

Replying to @Pirat_Nation
It will never ever stop being funny to me that Sony looked at this utter turd, and honest to god thought they had a Star Wars level franchise on their hands.
I built a petition — to show Riot what this community can offer: designers, artists, marketing, finance, content creators, all ready to help keep this game alive.
And more importantly, what's in it for Riot.
Please share. Details below.

Not DBD related, but one of the most hype moments on my stream ever. I recently got back into Yu-Gi-Oh collecting and I pulled one of the rarest cards you can get. The Dragon Master Magia overframe (starlight rare). I wanted this more than ANY other card.

Blizzard was a game developer that was so popular that they used to have their own annual ComicCon style convention where fans from all over the world would come to meet the developers of their favorite games and learn what new stuff was coming.
Then, an unhappy faction who didn’t like the “frat house” atmosphere made a bunch of largely false allegations at the height of #MeToo. Lawyers were brought in to investigate, and they found email chains discussing the “Cosby Suite,” which was the hospitality suite at the convention hotel that Blizzard developers named for its carpets that looked like a Bill Cosby sweater.
These emails were from years before Cosby’s sexual assault conviction, but they were considered damning at the time and it was insinuated in the media that the men on the email chain were committing rape in the “Cosby Suite,” entirely because of the name.
Everyone on the email chain — men who had worked at Blizzard for decades and built the Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft franchises — were fired in disgrace over this.
Alex Afrasiabi had his name stripped out of World of Warcraft. An Overwatch character named after veteran Blizzard developer Jesse McCree was renamed in the game. These guys did absolutely nothing wrong except joke with their friends in emails they never expected to be exposed as part of a witch hunt.
In the wake of the mass firings of veterans game designers, the entire culture of Blizzard changed as an institution, and the games changed too — for the worse. “World of Warcraft” became a cozy fantasy coffee shop game. “Overwatch” became a gay pride game. Nobody would go to a convention these days to celebrate these games or the people who now work on them.
The false sexual assault allegations were a pretense for a crowd of disgruntled nonbinary weirdos to seize the greatest game studio in the United States, but without the people they purged and replaced, they could not uphold Blizzard’s once legendary standard of quality and the studio collapsed into irrelevance.
When you see gamers celebrating mass layoffs at game studios, it is because things like this happened across the gaming industry. The hobby was conquered and transformed by people who believed gaming needed to change. But they changed it into something nobody wants to pay for, and now they’re all losing their jobs.
Jason Schreier has pushed back against claims that Blizzard’s workplace misconduct allegations were “made up,” saying the reality is far more complicated
According to Schreier, the 2023 California settlement (which stated that no court or independent investigation substantiated claims of systemic or widespread sexual harassment) has been widely misrepresented as proof that nothing happened.
He says both things can be true: the original California lawsuit contained inaccuracies and exaggerated claims, while many women reported real experiences of harassment, discrimination, unequal pay, and ignored complaints.
Schreier based his reporting on interviews with around 50 current and former Blizzard employees
He says that Blizzard’s workplace culture varied between teams and over time, making the situation more nuanced than a simple true-or-false narrative.

Swords & Slippers is definitely going to get mislabeled as "goonerslop", like Stellar Blade was, but it unironically looks awesome.
A pseudo-Medusa / Venom take on Rapunzel is probably the coolest thing you could possibly do with her.

At the risk of losing the 5 good women in USA in the industry, my fix for this would be remove all white women from gaming companies.
Then, make sure the studios get to enact "bro codes"
if you violate the "bro codes", you are terminated, and in most instances, would be sent a bill for wasting everyone's time.
Whats the bro code?
If you have to ask, you don't belong.
