There is something deeply wrong with a political system that allows one trillionaire to buy his own personal U.S. Senator.
This ad is so gross and tells us all we need to know about a person like Vivek and Stephen. Amy was SA’ed by her mom’s husband and the mom lost custody of her kids. This is a new, disgusting low.

BYU fans, this is what cracking a light domestic beer at 5:00 on a Friday feels like
Sigh…
K-State fans think they hate Kansas football but it’s nothing compared to how much Kansas fans hate Kansas football.

But DOGE??
The latest federal budget deficit is near $2 trillion, ($1.99 trillion, to be exact) which is its highest since the pandemic.
Spending on the military, safety net programs, and paid interest on the national debt ($3 billion per day) have dwarfed cost-cutting measures.

It’s been a hell of a month for Roger Marshall.
His medical practice sued more than 700 patients. 81 were arrested for missing court appearances. He called his collection practices common. Then a review of roughly 150 medical practices found his 18% interest rate was the highest. None of the others charged a specified rate above 12%. He may have violated state law.
Meanwhile, his campaign left a Hutchinson bakery’s $678.75 bill unpaid for SIX YEARS. After the owner went public, he apologized and paid $1,300. His patients got collection attorneys. His campaign got six years.
A media investigation uncovered texts, recordings and calendars suggesting staff, equipment and travel funded by taxpayers were used for campaign work. His chief of staff’s explanation in one text: “Primary purpose is what we say it is.”
The investigation also questioned why campaign filings showed no staff paychecks for five years. His chief of staff said some staff were now paid but supplied no details. Marshall’s lawyer denies violations. Ethics experts want answers, with one calling for an investigation absent a credible explanation. No formal government investigation has been publicly confirmed.
His chief of staff also faces reporting that outside income exceeded applicable limits by roughly $16,000 across four years. His lawyer disputes wrongdoing. Taxpayers have separately covered more than $71,000 in his commuting expenses, which Marshall’s office says comply with Senate rules.
Then his campaign used unauthorized images of two uninvolved Kansas businesses, including children at a camp, in an attack ad about alleged child abuse elsewhere. One camp demanded that it stop.
His office now says he sold his Florida home. But the fundraising invitation tells another part of that story: a February 2025 “Sarasota Retreat” with Marshall at the St. Regis Longboat Key Resort, requesting suggested contributions of $3,300 per individual or $5,000 per PAC.
Open town halls became too dangerous, he says. Resort fundraising apparently remained manageable.
The Kansas GOP is offering VIP meetings with Roger for $25K for a bus tour covering 21 cities and 1,250 miles. Every fuel stop gives that bus another opportunity to remind Kansans of $6 diesel costs under the leadership they’re being asked to reelect.
Marshall voted against the Sept 24 Iran War Powers resolution. Monday, he claimed diesel prices would “never come down” if Democrats control Congress. Farmers need relief, not election threats.
ICE operations disrupted southwest Kansas communities and meatpacking shifts. He opposed the bipartisan immigration reform in 2024.
He backed the budget law that reduced projected Medicaid funding, then insisted there were no cuts. Separately, Kansas advocates report roughly 41,000 people, including nearly 18,000 children, left SNAP after the 2025 federal changes.
Now former Republican governors Bill Graves and Mike Hayden, plus Marshall’s own primary opponent Arch Naramore, have endorsed Adam Hamilton along with 100 Republican elected leaders.
Marshall has Sam Brownback. Kansas already tried that experiment.
A close race, not a guarantee. A Republican super PAC is shifting $14 million from North Carolina to Kansas.
Monday night brought news that Trump strategist Chris Grant is joining Marshall’s campaign.
Yes, the Chris Grant whose firm helped elect George Santos. The congressman in prison for fraud.
When your campaign is facing questions about credibility, that is quite a choice.
Trump is promising a rally. Washington is sending money and consultants. None of it answers the questions about Marshall’s record or the resources entrusted to his office.
Registration deadline: October 13.
Advance voting can begin October 14;
check your county’s schedule.
Election Day: November 3.
Make a plan. Help a neighbor. Vote.
Washington can try to save Roger Marshall’s job. Kansas gets to decide whether he’s earned it.

It does seem like if you genuinely believe your opponent is mentally fragile one way to prove that might be to debate him.
