ALT In blue chalk on black spotted pavement, someone wrote, 'I HEART SKILLED TRADES!' A red heart is drawn within the message. A grey running shoe is seem at the top left corner of the photo beside the chalk message.

On major life decisions, the purpose of seeking advice is not to get answers. It’s to gain perspective.
No one knows what's best for you. They can only share what makes sense to them.
The most important question to ask is not what you should do. It's what you might be missing.
Even Snoopy wants to come to school! Sorry Snoopy, our school is for our Junior Falcons! Watch them soar!

Today it was special to be in our Peace Garden & celebrate with our students who received their First Communion yesterday. We give thanks to all the people who helped prepare them. Thank you to the parents who are the primary educators of the children in the ways of the faith.
#MayBookMadness Round 2 Shy vs Gibberish 1/4
A dazzlingly beautiful book about shyness.
Shy loves birds. He'd love to watch them fly & hear them sing, but he's only read about them in books until a real bird comes along. He's dying to meet her, but there's just one problem:

It's Dat's first day of school in a new country! Dat and his Mah made a long journey to get here, and Dat doesn't know the language. To Dat, everything everybody says – from the school bus driver to his new classmates – sounds like gibberish.
May Book Madness begins tomorrow - much like the #NHLPlayoffs only one winner will be crowned! However, when we read, everyone wins! Week 1 Challenge pits Blue: A History of the Colour as Deep as the Sea and as Wide as the Sky vs. Everybody in the Red Brick Building. @alcdsb

Celebrating our students @St_Peter_CES with The Good Samaritan Award, which recognizes individuals who follow Jesus’ teachings. Dennis always does the right thing, spreads kindness and thinks of others. He helps out our custodian daily, often choosing to miss his own recess. ♥️
BLUE is a stunningly thought-provoking book that tells the cultural history of the color blue - how it was made, used, & perceived. Exquisite illustrations & lyrical text work add power & poignancy to the way the color has been used to convey authority& rank through the years.
@alcdsb Everybody in the Red Brick Building- a magical book filled with delightful onomatopoeia. The story starts in an apartment building-everyone is asleep, builds to a crescendo as sounds awaken the inhabitants, & then returns to a peaceful calm as everyone goes back to bed.
