Here’s the math for the online gambling initiative in Nebraska, as per State Treasurer Joey Spellerberg:
Proposed property tax relief: $166 million over 10 years. That’s $16 million per year.
Nebraska collected $5.6 billion in property taxes in 2025.
The proposed property tax relief equals three-tenths of 1%.
Nebraskans would have to bet and lose over $800 million over 10 years for the projection to materialize.
I wonder how that stacks up with other states that have legalized online sports betting?

Nebraska has a ballot initiative on sports betting.
Proponents tell us about property tax relief. IMO, the impact is minimal and a forecast.
All you have to do is follow the money. If you’re ok with it, go for it. If not, vote no
Property tax relief isn’t the reason.

The settlers of the west don’t get the respect they deserve. Coming to the Americas with no real information to properly prepare and very few resources or money.
The sod house was the landmark of the pioneer. Considering a sod builder didn’t go from homesteader to homesteader your future survival was dependent on your own skills.
There is always one, and of course he was a Belgium, who was the epitome of sod builders. In 1884 Isadore Haumont built a 2-story sod house north of Broken Bow, Nebraska at 64 years old. The house was eventually bulldozed down in the 1960’s.
It’s insane that the bloodlines that build the greatest nation on Earth are hellbent on destroying it.

There are 3 kinds of heifers:
1. that don’t lose their calf.
2. lose a calf but it’s not their fault and deserve a new calf.
3. lose a calf and it’s their fault and they don’t care.
I have one with a tag number 333. Guess which one she is?
Hint she’s TLM bound tomorrow.
