Need to elect more communists.
Interesting IRS data out today. Allegheny County continues to shrink. PA as a whole continues to lose people and money to other states. I was surprised that there is some rural growth going on which I did not expect.

Pittsburgh Guy. All he ever wanted to do was throw a football. Zero patience for the other stuff.

Great but gets very little respect. Very few Steelers of the 1970s are ever mentioned among the all-time greats. It's mindboggling.

Saw it in a theatre. His fights and so many other fights that were shown in theaters on closed circuit TV were major events. As big as any football game. A great time to be a sports fan.
📆 Return of the Champion: 56 years ago today, Muhammad Ali came back from a three-and-a-half year layoff to face The Ring's No. 1 heavyweight contender - repeat No. 1 contender - Jerry Quarry. A magical moment in Atlanta 🇺🇸🥊🇺🇸

By the way when Najee Harris was coming out I said I would take Javonte Williams. He was a 2nd round pick by Denver. 2 yrs younger than Harris. 5’11”. Put up 155 for the Cowboys last night.

There’s a good chance Jaylen Warren wasn’t drafted because he’s too small -only 5’8”. Emmit Smith is 5’9”…Barry Sanders is 5’8”. Kenneth Walker III is 5’9”. Jamyr Gibbs is 5’9”. Naji Harris is 6’1”. Lots of good big backs, too, of course. Smaller guys make people miss.

I know you know nothing about military aviation, but fly overs are a very small part of the training mission they were already on. They dont just take off to buzz a stadium and then land.

That literally IS training. Navigating over an urban environment, using terrain features as reference points, it's training for the air crew (if one is needed in the aircraft), the ground crew works on prepping the aircraft, etc.

Every time a military aircraft participates in these flyovers, there is a ton of training value. Plus, pilots need hours to maintain their ratings. I remember people were getting bent during COVID when our local 911th were doing flybys at all the hospitals. Some people are just miserable twats.

An actual man who voted for Kamal Harris. Amazing. It’s also amazing how many liberals there are in sports media.
A hot mic moment between Joe Buck and Troy Aikman yesterday lamenting military fly-overs on @FOXSports. “That stuff won’t be happening under a Kamala-Biden administration, I’ll you that.” Lots to unpack here.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Stupid people believe the City of Pittsburgh is desperate and will happily allow these desperate measures to pass. Why don't they grow money trees in Point Park and shake them real hard? It's just as logical. The end is near.

I bumped into Mike Lange at The Saloon many years ago. I was star struck. But he simply wanted to hangout and have a beer. Fond memories of The Saloon.

Dominic lerace, known simply to generations of working-class households as Dahnnie, passed away at 83 after a quiet, three-year battle with bladder cancer. He was the sonic heartbeat of a culture defined by grittiness, loyalty, and an unshakeable connection to the soil from which it grew. To understand Donnie Iris is to understand the geography of the Beaver Valley and the distinct lilt of the Pittsburgh dialect. He wasn't a product of Hollywood slickness or New York corporate curation. Born in New Castle and raised in Ellwood City, he belonged entirely to the landscape of brick row houses, church basements, and neighborhood clubs. His music wasn't just entertainment; it was a reflection of the people who filled the mills, staffed the local diners, and packed the Beaver Falls taverns six nights a week. He announced his retirement just weeks ago after playing at The Wylie in the Pittsburgh historic Hill District. Godspeed, my friend Godspeed 💔

The Steelers should try to talk Aaron Rodgers into sticking around for at least another year or two. Why? Give me a minute.

Big fan of Tom Brady in the booth. Way more than I expected. But hearing him yell about soft roughing the passer calls is a tough listen. Half of those rules exist because of Tom Brady. Clinical term for this is an autoimmune response. The body attacking what it created.
