We have become more of a transitional team than a possession-based team under Alonso, and that doesn't suit Estevão.
The way I see it, one of these three things will happen:
1. He will improve his intensity in both phases and get into the starting XI over Neto.
2. Alonso will develop us into a possession-based team to get him into the team.
3. Estevão will just leave.
1 and 3 are looking like the most likely. That intensity thing isn't an excuse. It's real. But it's easier if we control possession and platform him than make him run around. However, Alonso came with a different idea, and I fear he could eventually sacrifice Estevão because the boy may find it difficult to play that football.
