"America is not handcuffed by history."
That perfectly sums up the American mentality towards the rest of the world. Past actions don't have consequences, according to many Americans. Most of the time they're not even aware of past actions.
This is also how small children think.
Jesse Watters: We don't need friends. If we have to burn down a few bridges with Denmark to take Greenland. We’re big boys. We dropped a-bombs on Japan and now they are our ally… America is not handcuffed by history. (2025) @Acyn

May I suggest a compromise between “artificial intelligence” and “super intelligence”?
Let's combine the two words!
I humbly recommend that going forward, we call this groundbreaking technology “Superficial Intelligence” — something that reflects both the product and the character of the man so devoted to the name change?
With such huge sums of money, aren't Americans worried about the quid pro quo?
individual, republican-aligned donors spending double that of democrat-aligned donors in us midterms
(polls not reflecting this)

ALT This infographic illustrates the funding sources for the 2026 US midterm elections. It presents a pie chart divided into three segments: $832 million from Democratic-aligned top donors, $1.67 billion from Republican-aligned top donors, and $264 million from special interest or bipartisan top donors. Notable individuals and organizations are depicted with their contributions. Key figures include George Soros, Charles Koch, and Elon Musk. The chart also notes a total contribution of $2.77 billion from the top 50 donors.

🇪🇺 @EIB, Europe's public bank, lends @Airbus €3bn. With interest, to be repaid and at competitive market condition.
@USTradeRep: a risk to the transatlantic trade truce.
🇺🇸 Washington state approved an $8.7bn tax break for Boeing in 2013, the biggest in US history. Nothing to repay.
@USTradeRep: nothing to see here.
Add also the trade deals: Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and China have pledged more than 450 Boeing jets to the White House as part of their trade deals with the US - orders decided by tariff threats, not by price. Not exactly the "market-driven" aerospace Ambassador Greer talks about.
Usual American double standard:
When US wins, it's the free market.
When others win, it's unfair competition.
Meanwhile, the WTO ruled against US subsidies to Boeing too – and Europe has kept its retaliation on hold since 2021 anyway.
One loan, with interest, and Washington throws a tantrum. Can you imagine what would happen if Europe came together and started competing, with the same tools and methods, in all the other areas?
Today, Ambassador Greer issued a statement regarding the status of the U.S.-EU deal to pause duties on certain EU imports, following a record-breaking loan from the European Investment Bank to Airbus.

The US gave Boeing billions too (tax breaks, R&D support, etc.).

The current US-EU deal requires financing on market terms for both sides. Airbus and the EIB say this loan is a standard commercial facility on market terms.

I’ll take a shot at answering one of these good questions. These poor young people are not dying for "no reason". They’re dying because Vladimir Putin's Russia invaded Ukraine and Ukrainians don’t want to be murdered. I hope this helps.
We've gone from "drain the swamp" to "be the swamp" 🤣

When you hear all these anti-Ukraine voices on X that sound so loud and claim to speak for lots of Americans they actually speak for 3% overall and 5% of MAGA. To put that in perspective 12% think the moon landing was faked and 13% believe in Big Foot. So they’re even more fringe. Ignore them.

Imagine being a CEO of an US energy company and thinking that you work with close associates of the Trump family, only to find out that behind them is a sanctioned Russian company, really pulling the strings.
This happened in Alaska. Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, stepped down after finding out that the Russian "Novatek" company, which is under US sanctions, has been involved in a $25 billion energy project in Alaska. The CEO thought that he was working with Gentry Beach, a close friend of Donald Trump Junior.
Reportedly, that project was also discussed between Witkoff and Jared Kushner when they were with Putin. The White House admitted that the project was talked about "briefly".
We are witnessing the greatest corruption scandal the USA has ever witnessed. It all leads to Trump, his family and the Russians, and apparently they were even ready to sell riches of Alaska to the Russians.
The people in Alaska just need to look over to Russia, where the richest regions in terms of minerals and hydrocarbon resources have been stripped-mined, transferring all the wealth to Moscow and Saint Petersburg and leaving a scarred landscape in extreme poverty. That is the result of rampant corruption.
We are starting to see more details why Trump and his friends are trying so strongly to bully Ukraine into surrender. This is most certainly only the tip of the iceberg.

Putin says Ukrainian land belongs to Russia because of history. But what happens when we apply his logic to Russia itself?
On October 22, Putin once again claimed that Ukrainian territories are historically Russian.
“This is not their territory. It’s the territory of historical Russia,” he said.
Interesting argument. Let’s apply the same logic to Russia.
🇯🇵 Japan: The Soviet Union seized the southern Kuril Islands in 1945. Japan still claims four of those islands, which Russia controls today.
🇨🇳 China: Vladivostok and large parts of Russia’s Far East were once under China’s Qing dynasty. Russia acquired these territories through treaties in the 19th century.
🇫🇮 Finland: Vyborg and parts of Karelia belonged to Finland before World War II. Finland was forced to surrender them to the Soviet Union.
🇩🇪 Germany: Kaliningrad was once Königsberg, a German city and part of East Prussia until 1945.
🇹🇷 Turkey: The Ottoman Empire once controlled Azov and held territory and influence around the northern Black Sea before Russian expansion.
So here’s a question for Putin:
Should Japan take back its islands? Should China reclaim Vladivostok? Should Finland reclaim Vyborg? Should Germany reclaim Kaliningrad?
Of course, historical possession does not automatically give any country the right to seize territory today. Most of these countries do not even make such claims.
And that is precisely the point.
If every country started invading its neighbors to recover territory it controlled centuries ago, where would it end?
Ukraine is an internationally recognized sovereign country. Russia recognized its borders.
History is not a license to invade. And Ukraine does not belong to Russia simply because Putin says it does.
Stand with Ukraine. 🇺🇦
