BREAKING: Paraguay's president, Santiago Peña, has resigned following the collapse of the Ueno bank, stepping down just as Congress began impeachment proceedings against him. Peña was a business partner of the group that owned Ueno bank until March last year. As of last month, the bank had a reported holding of $800 million in public deposits, including money from the state pension fund and health fund, as well as the operators of Paraguay's hydroelectric dams. The bank has around three million customers, or around 60% of Paraguay's adult population.

BREAKING: Polish police in the last few days have launched a special operation to secure the area along the Polish-Russian border near Kaliningrad amid warnings from Poland's Military Intelligence Services and allied intelligence services that possible sabotage or an incursion by armed groups is possible. Poland has also deployed GROM special forces to northeast Poland, which is an elite military unit prioritizing counterterrorism, hostage rescue, and special operations. Furthermore, Donald Tusk in a press conference today stated that shortly after midnight, the Polish border guard reported suspicious activity along the Polish-Russian border, prompting Polish forces to be immediately mobilized and successfully preventing an attempted provocation. This also followed a statement last week Thursday from the Polish deputy police commander, Tomasz Michułka, who issued an order for all officers to be on "full readiness" between November 2nd and November 8th due to the "operational situation across the country."

BREAKING: Brazilian President Lula Da Silva is projected to win a historic fourth term as President. He is on pace to narrowly defeat Flavio Bolsonaro, son of jailed former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro. The victory, once confirmed, would mark a historic comeback for Lula, who fell significantly behind Bolsonaro in the first round of voting. Bolsonaro had been widely projected to win the election, despite razor thin margins separating both candidates.

BREAKING: A major incident has occurred at a Canadian military base in Wainwright Alberta. Both Prime Minister Carney and Premier Smith have released statements acknowledging the incident but details remain sparse. There have been multiple medvac flights out of the base as well as reports of casualties. A large wildfire is now also burning in the vicinity of the base.

BREAKING: Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi and Kevin Cramer of North Dakota visited Kyiv on Friday with a pair of house lawmakers, where they met with several Ukrainian defense officials and suggested a deal to President Zelensky, according to the WSJ. In this alleged deal, Ukraine would temporarily pause from striking Russian energy assets; in return, the U.S. would expand Ukraine's Starlink satellite coverage up to roughly 300 inside Russia, which would help Ukraine take out ballistic missile launchers. It remains to be seen if these senators have the ability to make this deal happen, and if Trump is even willing to make such a deal given his increasing criticism of President Zelensky and Ukraine's continued strikes against Russian oil refineries

BREAKING: 12 people have died and another 309 are injured following a Houthi ballistic missile attack against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Damage to the airport is currently being assessed, and authorities confirm that several people are in critical condition following the attack.

UPDATE: USGS has revised the earthquake to 7.7 and at a depth of 12.6 km, so far significant damage has been reported in central Panama. Tsunami waves reaching 1-3 meters above tide level are possible along some of the coast of Panama, and 0-3 to 1 meter for some coastal areas in Ecuador, per the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

BREAKING: Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan have agreed to activate the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement and will immediately implement the practical collective defense agreements as well as taking all necessary measures to provide the agreed military forces and capabilities and to ensure their rapid deployment to Saudi Arabia. Earlier today the Presidential Leadership Council announced Operation Dawn of Yemen with the aim of restoring state institutions and liberate the capital Sana'a. Over 300 high-value targets have been struck, and over 100 fighter jets are known to be involved in the operation. This follows over a month of intensified fighting between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, where the Houthis made a series of successful offensives in Yemen, including seizing the key port city of Mocha and effectively gaining control of the entire Bab al-Mandab strait.

BREAKING: The Trump Administration has told Germany and France to draw down their emergency diesel supplies to ease the global fuel price, or face a potential U.S diesel export ban, three people have told Reuters today. This follows a growing domestic pressure on diesel in the U.S, with a record high diesel average across the U.S at $6.53 per gallon, as well as an ever decreasing Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which is now 283.8m barrels and marks the lowest level since 1983.

BREAKING: During a routine flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Flydubai flight FZ-1073 squawked 7500 (international code for hijacking) with one of the pilots stabbing the other with a pocket knife and attempting to hijack the plane, causing the plane to execute a dive from 30,000 to 15,000 ft in a short period of time. Both passengers and crew entered the cockpit and overpowered the attempted hijacker; the plane later landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. According to N12, Israeli authorities are treating this incident as a terror attack.

BREAKING: SpaceX Starship flight 14 has successfully reached an orbital trajectory around the Earth for the first time. Starship has also deployed Starlink V3 satellites for the first time and will now orbit the Earth up to 4 times before eventually landing in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Chile.

Update: at 12:45 AM, police received a call reporting three suspicious vehicles heading towards RAF Fairford, prompting armed officers to respond, where they arrested 5 individuals under the Explosives act and were later further arrested on suspicion of "preperation of a terrorist act". 85 households were evacuated and a 400m cordon was established as Army bomb disposal specialists were deployed to examine the three vehicles. The investigation is currently led by counter-terror police. Sources familiar with the investigation have told the Telegraph that Iranian agents are likely to have been directly involved in the suspected plot, rather then operating through its proxies. Police are also examining several possibilities, including a Russian sabotage operation or Islamic plot, however it's deemed most likely that an Iran-linked motive is the most likely. This major incident occurred shortly after multiple reports surfaced of the base increasing its force-protection protocol, (FPCON) to Delta, which is the highest level and applies when a terrorist attack has occured in the immediate area, and or intelligence indicating that an attack is considered imminent.
