FINALLY the Goodreads Killer is here.
Every reader in your life needs to know about Margins.
Margins is THE Book App, where you can track your reading (including format, date finished, who recommended, etc).
You can also SEARCH BY VIBES -- a smart search where you can put in anything you want and an AI looks at the ENTIRE book and all it's metadata to make incredible recommendations.

I kid you not, @itchio has been taken down by @OriginalFunko because they use some trash "AI Powered" Brand Protection Software called @BrandShieldltd that created some bogus Phishing report to our registrar, @iwantmyname, who ignored our response and just disabled the domain

Happy Birthday, Marines!
For 249 years we have fought and won our nation's battles with honor, courage, and commitment.
From our storied past to the present, every Marine has played a vital role in shaping our legacy.

#OTD in 1944, Hellcat pilots CDR David McCampbell and Ensign Roy Rushing attacked 60 Japanese aircraft that were approaching U.S. ships during the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Together they shot down 15 planes, causing so much chaos that the remaining Japanese aircraft abandoned their mission. By the time McCampbell returned to the carrier, his Hellcat only had 6 rounds left and was so low on fuel that the engine stopped as it taxied out of the arresting wires.

Reminder: Article 5 of the NATO mutual defense clause has been invoked exactly one time - September 12th, 2001.
Germany, Canada, Poland, Belgium, Italy, Turkey, Spain, France, Latvia, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom (and more than a few non-NATO nations such as Ukraine, Australia, Finland, Ireland, Mongolia, etc) - just to name a few - all contributed greatly towards the effort of bringing those responsible to justice.
I wanted to take the opportunity to once again extend gratitude to those brothers and sisters in arms who served alongside us in Afghanistan today.

I still want to know wtf the counter sniper team was doing prior to the shooting.
USSS uses concentric rings of protection to keep their protectees safe.
The outer ring of protection is usually well beyond 100 yards.
