Sometimes life brings you someone you didn’t even know you needed, and somehow, they become home.
Brian, I don’t think you’ll ever fully understand just how much you mean to me or how much you’ve changed my life simply by loving me the way you do.
You have loved me without conditions. You have helped heal parts of me you never broke. Every single day, you show me what it looks and feels like to be loved, supported, cherished, and accepted exactly as I am. You have stood beside me through the hard times, supported me as I’ve worked to find myself, and loved me through the chapters where even I was still figuring out who I am. You’ve never asked me to be less of myself to make loving me easier.
Somehow, you navigate my brain better than I can sometimes 😂. You understand me in ways I don’t always know how to explain, and you never make me feel like I’m too much, too complicated, or too difficult to love. You remind me that I don’t have to carry everything on my own. That I don’t have to be strong every second of every day. That I have someone beside me who isn’t just here for the easy chapters, but is willing to walk through every single one with me.
Time and time again, you prove that we are a team. Not just when life is good, not just when things are easy, but through every messy, beautiful, exhausting, wonderful chapter life throws at us. We face it together. We figure it out together. We keep showing up for each other. And there is something so incredibly special about knowing that whatever life brings, I’m not standing in it alone.
And then there’s the dad you are. ❤️ Watching you love our boys, show up for them, make memories with them, and be someone they can count on means more to me than words could ever explain. Family isn’t just about biology. It’s about who shows up, who loves without reservation, and who keeps choosing to be there. You do that every single day.
Our life isn’t perfect, and neither are we. 😂 We have our chaos, our ridiculous moments, our ups and downs, and all the beautifully imperfect pieces that make this life ours. But I wouldn’t trade what we’re building together for anything.
Today, I hope you feel even a fraction of the love you pour into everyone around you. I hope you know how appreciated you are, how deeply you are loved, and how much better our lives are because you’re in them.
Thank you for being my partner, my teammate, my safe place, and the person who continues to show me that love doesn’t have to hurt to be real. That being loved doesn’t mean losing yourself. That you can be fully, unapologetically yourself and still be someone’s favorite person.
