Jagged intelligence is not the answer. It’s a powerful tool, sure, but comparably it’s Nuclear Fission instead of Fusion. It generates value, but leaves behind toxic, volatile byproducts (like agents writing multi-versioned sandbox escape plans).
We don't just want a volatile chain reaction - we want clean, constructive technology that our children can actually trust.

[1/5] Intelligence exists because of a lossy compression algorithm not despite it:
- a lossless compression algorithm is essentially a database w/ perfect recall and zero (min.) intelligence.
- a lossy compression algorithm forces general learning systems ( biological & artificial) to build a world model.
Our brain builds a lossy representation of the observable universe which is a vastly high-dimensional system. Our prefrontal cortex boils this down to predict action states, serving as the literal blueprint for human cognition.
revisiting this year-old post on Ilya Sutskever's take on intelligence as compression :
compression/ quantization of knowledge forces the model to abandon raw data storage (key-val store) and instead build a systemic understanding. The model compresses the data by learning the function that generated it.
This is actually more important than it seems on the surface.

Remember the backlash against all AI voices being feminine—Siri, Alexa, etc.? Now, companies use a wider range of AI voices with ambiguous names like “alloy” and “shimmer.” Bias solved forever—ha, no. What happens when people hear these supposedly neutral voices?👇
GLM-5.2 is Fully Open, Frontier Intelligence Belongs to Everyone
Today, the sudden restriction of certain frontier models is deeply regrettable. At a time when access to frontier models is abruptly cut off for non-technical reasons, we are even more convinced of one thing: science should be global.
The path to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) must never be enclosed by high walls. We have always believed that AGI should be the cornerstone for all of humanity to collaboratively explore the boundaries of intelligence and solve complex challenges, rather than a privilege monopolized by a few rules and subject to revocation at any moment. In the face of external blockades and restrictions, our attitude is one of radical openness. Frontier intelligence must remain open-source, accessible, and buildable, serving every dedicated developer.
GLM-5.2 is Zhipu's most capable open-source model to date. It not only supports a truly usable 1M context window but also maintains a continuous lead in the independent completion of long-horizon tasks, providing solid foundational support for building complex agent applications. It also continues to be our main engine for creating the strongest domestic coding model.
Tonight at 5:21—at this special moment—GLM-5.2 will officially be available to all GLM Coding Plan users (including Lite / Pro / Max). The API will also go live next week.
A step closer to frontier intelligence for everyone.
The future of AI is open, and it is for the people.

Thanks for all of the Antigravity feedback over the last couple of days, especially around the IDE. Our intention was never to remove the IDE support for developers, and we should have been clearer with that in the product from the beginning.
We’ve made it clearer in 2.0 on how to connect to the IDE, fixed issues with opening the IDE on Windows machines, provided instructions to restore IDE settings & extensions, and more.
New releases for the Antigravity IDE and Antigravity 2.0 have rolled out with these changes.
We should have done better so we’re going to reset everyone’s Gemini quota for the week again.

I do! I used it to generate all the textures of my game and I’m leaving the watermark in them ahaha

Xiaomi MiMo-V2.5 is now officially open-sourced!
MIT License, supporting commercial deployment, continued training, and fine-tuning - no additional authorization required.
Two models, both supporting a 1M-token context window :
• MiMo-V2.5-Pro: built for complex agent and coding tasks, ranking No.1 among open-source models on GDPVal-AA and ClawEval
• MiMo-V2.5: a native omni-modal model with strong agent capabilities
A model's value isn't measured by rankings alone — it's measured by the problems it solves.
Let's build with MiMo now!

🤖 Wild @Android robot car using Gemma 4 E2B, running completely on-device!
- Whisper for voice commands
- Claude Code used for vibe-coding (but you could easily use @antigravity or @googleaistudio instead)
- small local model for TTS

The MiniMax Token Plan was designed from the beginning to be used across third-party harnesses.
There will be more good ideas of how to use AI coming from outside the AI labs than in them.
Limiting AI subs to first-party products kills these ideas before they are ever born.
