BREAKING: Colleague @davidspunt reports via two sources familiar that there is an ongoing DOJ "aggressive criminal investigation" into Daniel J. Sullivan appearing on the ballot for US Senate in Alaska, and the investigation has intensified in the wake of the bombshell NYT report today.
DOJ sources tell David that multiple grand jury subpoenas will be issued in the coming hours and days, and there are preservation orders to cell phone companies that are being prepared regarding text messages and emails that may build a timeline for how Daniel J. Sullivan was placed on the ballot.
The investigation is being handled by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Alaska and federal prosecutors are interested in potential charges relating to the depravation of rights of Alaska voters. The investigation is expected to go beyond Election Day and has been underway for several months.

I’m hearing from a lot of Alaskans that they are voting ✅ YES to end the MESS of Ranked Choice Voting.
✅ YES on Ballot Measure 2

Fun fact: voters aged 65 or over were Trump and Abbott’s best performing group in 2024 and 2022.
Could be huge if they really turn out.
They were R+19 in 2024 and R+25 in 2022.

Mary Peltola’s scandals are so bad that even Senator Lisa Murkowski is critiquing her. Do you know how bad that is?

While some may try to write this off as just how politics works now, ballot-stacking should have no place in our electoral process. Run and win on your merits: your views, your policy ideas, and your accomplishments. By contrast, recruiting candidates to manipulate the field and influence voting outcomes is simply wrong. Alaskans deserve the honest truth from Mary and her campaign—what has been revealed is a pattern of lies and coverups and a culture of deception that belongs nowhere in our elections or among our elected officials.

Clear Peltola’s scandal is catching up to her and another just dropped in the NYT.
More puzzling to me is why Dems are throwing her under the bus. But the polling doesn’t seem too hot for Dems there and neither does early voting

Here is an update on early voting in Florida (IPEV):
Republicans are increasing their registration lead over Democrats.
An interesting note is that Ds share % is down while indies as increased, Rs are at the same level.
Watch how high the registration margin gets and if it sticks higher today than previous days.

We had an incredible afternoon in the Rio Grande Valley with the Speaker’s Strike Force!
The energy in South Texas is electric. Texans want leaders in Austin who represent their values, and that’s exactly what Rep. @JanieLopezForTX does every day.

Yesterday was the most red day of early voting in Texas so far. Republicans will be hoping that trend continues through the end of the week, which would run counter to historical voting patterns.

People who are saying that “party registration” is more indicative on individual voting patterns than “past primary vote history” are the dumbest people on Election Twitter. The party registration in many southern states is so bad that they don’t even use it for campaign purposes.
Below is an article about how Louisiana’s Republican’s out numbered Democrats for the first time in states history four months ago. This is just one of many examples.

A few years ago, Idaho became one of the first states in the nation to ban ranked-choice voting. We did it because the practice is a scam that takes away power from the grassroots to decide who their candidates are and delivers victories to Democrats, even when they don’t command anywhere near a majority of votes. Congress should ban ranked-choice voting in federal elections and every Red State in America needs to ban it, too.
