90s: Don't eat fat. It's bad for you. 2000s: Carbs are the enemy. 2020s: Protein cereal, protein chips, protein ice cream. Everything needs protein. 2026: Apparently, if you're not eating enough fibre, you're one bowel movement away from death.

Woke up in Canada today and you'd swear we just had an election. Wall-to-wall U.S. midterm coverage on our news since last night. Quick reminder for our media: that's a different country. Ours has a federal budget dropping TOMORROW. 11 years of Liberal government, and somehow it's always Trump's fault. Imagine if they spent half that energy on what's happening here. Maybe we'd be headed in a better direction, eh? 🇨🇦

🇨🇦 ONTARIO CAN COLLECT SALES TAX ON THE SAME USED CAR AGAIN AND AGAIN. Here’s a tax rule that deserves more attention. Imagine a vehicle changes hands three times through private sales. 🚗 First resale: $30,000 🚗 Second resale: $20,000 🚗 Third resale: $12,000 At Ontario’s 13% retail sales tax rate, buyers could collectively pay: 💸 First buyer: $3,900 💸 Second buyer: $2,600 💸 Third buyer: $1,560 That’s $8,060 in sales tax across three resales of the same vehicle. And the vehicle wasn’t manufactured three times. It wasn’t imported three times. It simply changed owners. Ontario generally charges retail sales tax when you privately purchase a used vehicle, with certain exemptions. The calculation can also depend on the vehicle’s wholesale value, not just the price you negotiated. THE CAR DEPRECIATES. THE TAX BILL KEEPS COMING BACK. For Canadians trying to save money by buying used instead of new, that’s an expensive surprise. Should the same depreciating asset generate sales tax every time someone buys it? 🍁 @wealthmoose #Ontario #Canada #PersonalFinance

Champagne saying how affordability is top of mind for the budget tomorrow while getting a $500.00 pair of shoes from Pajar. 11 years we’ve heard this Government claim to care about affordability, yet life has only gotten less affordable. These are shysters of the highest order.

Remember when the Panama Papers revealed how wealthy people around the world used offshore accounts to avoid taxes and shelter their money? And then basically nothing changed.

Replying to @6ixbuzztv
This should be the moment Canadians realize all these polls are actually just fake social manipulation in lockstep with the liberal parties next policy moves and goals.

Funny how raising a cashier’s pay to a livable wage is treated as an economic emergency, while a CEO pocketing tens of millions is just “market forces” doing their thing.

I’d love to understand the accounting principles that allow companies to report record profits while simultaneously being unable to afford anything more than a 2% pay raise for their employees.

Plusieurs amoureux des voitures soutiennent le développement du transport actif et en commun ainsi que l'implantation du zonage mixte. Le but de ces politiques, c'est de retirer un maximum d'automobilistes lambdas de nos rues et surtout de nos autoroutes.
a lot of car enthusiasts are pro-transit b/c transit takes the average driver off the road, meaning less traffic and more road for them to actually enjoy their hobby.
