Huge day for Creator Studio today. Our new in-app assistants can help you get things done in record time. MCP allows you to bring your own agent if you want. And an open source format for Keynote (and Python library!) so you can create Keynote documents programmatically on any platform. Super proud of the team. Hope you love it!

iPhone Duo folds right where a backgammon board does. So I built backgammon for it. Nardy is out today, and it plays on any iPhone too 🎲 apps.apple.com/app/id6815637…

I'm embarrassed to say how many years it's been but @BlackboxPuzzles just got it's 82nd challenge :) Oh and full iPhone Duo support in any pose, orientation, split, fold, you name it ✨ More to come and a lot sooner than last time… apps.apple.com/us/app/blackb…

I do like how Sean takes complete ownership of this. Doesn't blame ai for taking his job but just realises it is what it is. The post also shows us how much he cares about teaching others. To the point of making all the content available to download. And I think you can read into this thinking it's the end. But actually. Sometimes it's important to close the door so you can focus on opening up the next. I love his passion for helping others and his commitment to that. And I look forward to seeing where his journey takes us next.
🚨 Going out of business sale 🚨 iOS dev course sales plummeted due to AI. It costs a lot of money to host my courses online and with sales at basically $0, I've cancelled that hosting. This closes down the site which unfortunately removes access to the courses. I want you to have the courses you purchased forever, so I've added the ability to download my course videos so they are yours. I've put my recent course on sale at a large discount so you can get it before it's gone and I've made old courses available for free if you want to grab those too. The school will be online until November 24th so you have a few weeks to download these videos at seanallen.teachable.com Thanks for learning with me and supporting my work over the years. I appreciate it.

I built an /askappledocs CLI tool that will pull the relevant apple docs into session context BEFORE the agent starts coding. It's saved me A LOT of wasted tokens! Blog post below 👇

How to build iPhone Duo apps that use both displays at once was one of the top questions at our hackathon. So we made it easy!
Bitrig can now stream your Mac’s camera into its 3D simulator. Build iPhone Duo camera apps that use both displays and see them from either side. bitrig.link/blog/build-iphon…

With the current Codex reset frenzy, I've unleashed Astra 6 on Ultra and it is blowing my mind with some really incredible work. Use these prompts: 1. "Examine this project thoroughly, looking for bugs. Treat it as an adversarial review using as many subagents as you want. When an issue comes back, double-check it's correct, and add checked issues to a list." 2. "When all agents have finished, walk me through each issue one at a time, giving me reproduction steps so I can verify." 3. "For all bugs I report as verified, write a failing test proving the bug exists, fix the issue, check your work carefully, then run the test again to verify it's resolved." It's found 43 issues so far, only 2 of which I disagreed with. Some minor, yes, but some big ones too 🙈

Later this week, your @bot can be triggered by posting/reply on X. (also kudos to @imagine that helped me design this cute graphic based on 🐧 スイカ, 🦆 イコカ, 🐤 トイカ)

Grok in X just learned to share conversation history between X & Grok. Available to all premium accounts, and rolling out slowly to free accounts. Coming soon: the other thing. I cannot talk about the other thing. 🤐

If you still live in “Siri with Apple Intelligence” land, here’s how to disable the blue floating button without disabling Writing Tools: defaults write -g WTAffordanceUIControllerMinNumberOfLines -int -1 and restart your Mac. The preference controls how many lines of text you need to select before the affordance shows up. The trick here is to set the number as high as possible (-1 selects the largest unsigned integer supported: 18,446,744,073,709,551,615). To restore: defaults delete -g WTAffordanceUIControllerMinNumberOfLines You can disable it per app: defaults write com\.apple.mail WTAffordanceUIControllerMinNumberOfLines -1
Here's how to disable Siri's new floating button in macOS 27 When Siri AI is enabled, macOS 27 adds a contextual "lightweight UI" when you type or select text. The floating button can expand into Ask Siri, Edit with Siri and Writing tools, or other contextual actions. To disable it, run the following command in the Terminal: sudo mkdir -p /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain && \ sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/WritingTools LightweightUI_macOS -dict Enabled -bool false and restart your Mac. To restore: sudo defaults delete /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/WritingTools LightweightUI_macOS
