This is exactly why we need a state level electoral college system. No more having a couple largely populated areas overrun small communities with zero voice. The issues we faced when creating the Const with states disparities, we are now seeing internally at a state level.

If you gerrymander too aggressively, it can backfire spectacularly in a wave, because every seat you squeeze out is held by a thin margin, and a big enough swing knocks them all over at once. Fictional state, 50–50 vote: 8 of 10 seats. Swing 6 points: 2 of 10.
