Kelly was roughly in a similar position to Holscher in the polls in 2018, but under-performed polls in 2022, for what it's worth.

Okay-anyone in the Twin Cities who has seen a Jafar or a Scar, hit me up with the McDonald's and you'll be my hero. I've seen all three of the others everywhere but these two and I want the set!
McDonald's is bringing DISNEY BOO BUCKETS this year and they're Villains themed! 😮 Dropping October 20th are five Disney Boo Buckets that all come with sticker sheets featuring Disney characters and McDonald's themed items. They've got Ursula, Maleficent, Scar, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil. Are you excited for the new Boo Buckets or would you prefer the 'generic' Halloween designs? #mcdonalds #fastfood #happymeal #boobuckets #halloween

Clayface is the first superhero movie I've ever been aware of that got a theatrical release where I never saw a trailer for it organically in a movie theater. I go to the movies at least once a week-the lack of trailers for this is BONKERS.

It is insane as someone who could probably name every member of the US Senate in the 21st Century from memory that honestly, if you could name both of your current senators, you're probably savvier about politics than the average Trump voter.
New: Low-info voters, who put Trump in the White House, now look even more anti-Trump than high-info voters, and give Dems bigger margins on the generic ballot. 1 out of 3 Trump voters who can't name the party in charge of Congress now back Dems for 2026 gelliottmorris.com/p/poll-lo…

This is flagrantly illegal, and should be tossed immediately out of Court. Both Sullivan's are listed under different parties & have different middle initials, and have known they're running against each other for months to inform voters of that. It's not a legal issue.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Trump administration sues to block Alaska Senate race certification if Republican loses, citing candidate name confusion.

Glee isn't possible to reboot in the same way it was able to be in the original cause TV has changed too much-you won't have the same # of episodes, you won't have the cultural cache, even music isn't universal the way it was. Even w/t lightning-in-a-bottle, it's not possible.

Best case scenario is you get something that is campy & people will be "gagged" at reunions of characters and meta-jokes, but that's not really a show...it's just a TikTok stream. Worst case is it's not even that level of fun.

Admittedly I am a single person, so I am not the target guest here (I would assume large families make more sense for AirBNB), but I've NEVER gotten the appeal of this. Just stay at a Holiday Inn-you don't have to clean, it's perfectly nice & well-kept, and you get pancakes.
FINALLY air bnb updated their terms saying hosts can’t require you to strip the beds, do dishes, take the trash out, etc.

I have had Kaptur as losing pretty much the whole cycle, but in the close of the campaign it does feel like she's probably the coin-toss favorite? If she wins by a few votes, it'll be hard for the GOP not to blame Ramaswamy.

I mean, if the Republicans win here he made the right call, and if they don't he'll basically destroy his leadership career path. It's a risky game of poker, but honestly at this level of play, you need to take risks. We'll find out in 11 days if he's right or wrong.

Hinson is maybe the only Republican Senate candidate this cycle in a competitive race who cares more about winning her seat than about Trump's opinion of her, and it shows (and will probably get her the seat while others fall).
#IowaSenate Ashley Hinson calls on Vivek Ramaswamy to take down Acton ad in interview with ABC News. She also called JD Vance's comments "ridiculous" when he defended the ad.

It seems pretty clear at this point that the #1 race every Democrat on ET is praying the electorate is just a touch bluer than the polls is TX-Gov, right? Like, it has to be the race no one's predicting, but is BEGGING the universe they get to be wrong in.

I'm probably predicting him, but I'm still not mentally prepared for seeing Texas go blue statewide, something I've never seen in 30 years of watching elections as a hobby. It's still "believe it when I see it" for me, but man is Talarico getting this race exciting.

You do not need to see every movie to be called a movie fan or a cinephile, but I do think if you haven't seen (or plan on soon seeing) at least three of these movies, you either need to admit you're a niche movie fan (i.e. "I only watch Golden Age pictures") or not one at all.
"If somebody talks about a movie near me I will not watch it."

Popular governors do go down in proper waves (if this is what's happening...Nevada is one of the few states where early voting can be a healthy template of what's to come, but it still comes without Election Day voters)-look at Bob Ehrlich in 2006. Could that be Lombardo's fate?
The early voting blog is updated! Tons of data and charts, perspective and models, but distilled: Mail: D+16,675 (9.4 points) Early in-person: R+5,022 (4.7 points) Totals: D+11,653 (4.1 points) Turnout: 284,836, or just under 14% D+4.5 electorate. thenevadaindependent.com/art…

This is an insane take for many reasons, a particularly big one being when Reps. Lindsay James, Sam Forstag, Bobby Pulido & Shannon Taylor all become Gov/Senate nominees post a win in this scenario.
There’s functionally no difference between Dems having 225 vs 245 seats in 2027, but I think it’d be good for the GOP (and America) to have a fresh start in 20 or so R+10 House districts in 2028. Plus give a chance for some Max Rose-type Dems to distinguish themselves.

Only if a red state tears apart their gerrymander.
Rep. Don Beyer said he does not believe Virginia Democrats should try to gerrymander the commonwealth’s congressional map again after a failed attempt in 2026. More from @allymutnick: punchbowl.news/article/house…
