An awful story. And to think #Croydon council are tasked with running licensing schemes to regulate private #landlords (for a hefty fee), yet this is how they look after their own stock. Pretty poor show. itv.com/news/2021-03-22/the-…

We have a v strange way of dealing with property. No other industry is treated like this. If successive govts had built 1mn social homes from the receipts of selling 2mn council ones, we could house the vulnerable. Instead PRS is asked to do it 1st at a discount and now for free.
Kate I’ve got a landlord owed 2 1/2 years rent arrears, no nearer to a eviction date, she’s been waiting a year.

The proportion of private renters satisfied with their housing has risen, according to data published by the Government. propertyreporter.co.uk/landl… The figure is also higher than the social rented sector.

Midway through a light refurb when lockdown hit. Luckily we had done enough to the house for it to be liveable and enable us to accommodate key workers needing to relocate.

@RLA_News and @NLA take note - the Taxpayers Alliance speaks up brilliantly for landlords here, pushing the anti-s24 message, which together with opposing the scrapping of s21s should be the no. 1 priority of those who advocate for landlords. @BeadleBen capx.co/taxes-on-britains-la…

According to the MOJ's figures it took on average a landlord over five months (22.8 weeks) to gain possession of their property in the last quarter of 2018. Major investment is needed if housing courts come in.

The sooner this comes in the better, then the landlord can have some protection against serial bad tenants and good tenants can build up their credit rating. Rent along with a mortgage payment monthly is the most important payment, so why should’nt it be…lnkd.in/e93P8fw
