Carney and entourage drop $175,000 on airplane food during one international trip. Carney has spent about $1 million on airplane food since becoming prime minister. They live the high life. You pay the tab.

Carney was asked twice about đŸ‡ș🇾 trade deal & proof of his assertion that "they're moving on red lines." đŸ„— Here's his stumbling, word salad answer. 1⃣ Vagueness on sovereignty, culture, French discoverability on streaming services. Which Jamieson Greer refuted as a very minor issue that was never a "red line." 2⃣ Autos. After lecturing the reporter about the difference between a pickup & heavy duty truck - "not constructive to give a running commentary on the discussions." Also, the sovereignty issue was "decisive in itself." 🙄 That's it. So much winning. đŸ€Ź If your company went under or you lost your job due to the s338 50% tariff imposed in August - this is what you lost it over.

‌The Prime Minister is borrowing at a pace not seen in generations. And when we ask the simplest question: How are you going to repay it? The response is, “How dare you talk down the Canadian economy!” Asking how the government intends to repay its debt is not talking down the economy. It's demanding accountability for the Canadians who will be buried under the mountain of debt. #cdnpoli

CBAM in plain English CBAM stands for Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. It’s basically a new carbon charge (like a tariff) that the government puts on certain imported goods. What Carney’s version does: Canada already makes big industrial companies pay a carbon price. The CBAM would force imported versions of those same products (mainly steel, aluminum, cement, and similar materials) to pay a similar charge if they come from countries that don’t have their own carbon price. The idea is to stop other countries from undercutting Canadian companies and to push more countries to put a price on carbon. What it means for regular Canadians: ‱ Higher prices on everyday stuff. Steel and aluminum go into cars, appliances, houses, buildings, and infrastructure. When the cost of those materials goes up, manufacturers and builders pass it on. That shows up as higher prices at the store, higher construction costs, and more expensive homes and vehicles. There is no household rebate attached to this one the way the old consumer carbon tax had. ‱ Pressure on Canadian jobs and industry. At the same time, the European Union has its own CBAM. Canadian steel and aluminum companies that sell to Europe are facing extra costs and paperwork because Canada’s carbon system isn’t fully linked with Europe’s. That can hurt competitiveness for producers (especially in places like Quebec and Atlantic Canada) who are already dealing with U.S. tariffs. Lost sales or squeezed margins in those sectors can mean fewer jobs or lower wages. ‱ Government gets some money, but you still pay. The Canadian version was estimated to bring in a few hundred million dollars a year. That’s revenue for Ottawa, but it comes from higher costs on the goods Canadians buy. Any administrative costs, trade fights, or economic drag also get paid by taxpayers and households one way or another. Bottom line for the kitchen table: It’s another cost added onto materials that end up in the things you buy and the buildings you live and work in. It is meant to protect Canadian industry and climate policy, but the practical effect for most people is higher prices on a range of goods, plus extra pressure on the metals sector that many communities rely on. The exact size of the hit depends on the final rules and rates, but the direction is clear: more costs get pushed down to consumers and businesses.

CBC: “Canada is facing a carbon tariff threat from the European Union within months as the economic bloc fully implements its Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).” G&M: “The company says comparisons between the first quarter of 2026 and the first quarter last year were affected by Algoma’s transition away from blast furnace operations to its new electric arc furnace platform.” He has no idea what he’s doing. They threw tax money at electric arc blast furnaces, the steel companies lose money, and we still won’t get an exemption from the EU’s tiny market.
BREAKING NEWS Canadian industries face a massive EU CARBON TAX while Mark Carney secretly negotiates to make Canada a member of the European Union. And let’s not forget, the European Union already imposes massive carbon taxes on its members. Why isn’t Parliament debating this while Canadians are kept in the dark?

“The future of trade does take carbon into account, Carbon is trade” Carney and Ursula over the next several days will introduce their plan to soak businesses, industries and their citizens out of even more money & it will all be under the guise of “fighting the climate” CBAM will make life less affordable, but Carney will claim it’s making businesses “more competitive” These are not good people.

How long will this theatre go on? While Canadians can’t afford food and homes, Mr. Carney has distracted for months with big talk about “Associate Membership” with Europe. Now, Europe has rejected it. For the next two days, we will be distracted again from the cost-of-living crisis with wall-to-wall media coverage on yet another grand theatrical meeting to sign a bunch of meaningless declarations filled with big words (catalyze, anyone?) and promises to meet again to talk more. No one’s mortgage or grocery bill will come down. We already have a free trade deal with Europe, Mr. Carney. Get the 9 countries who have not ratified it to do so. And get EU countries to let our beef into the continent and cancel their planned carbon tariff on Canada. Otherwise stop wasting your time and our money. Both are running out.
