time for everyone to reread steve yegge’s 2011 G+ rant
the fact that google hasn’t shipped a muse-like app with connectors is wild to me. you own gmail. you own chrome. you own android. you own the authenticator. you own half the internet’s identity layer. why are you making everyone else assemble your product for you

I'm so into this!! emailed today but also ofc sharing here too:) i'm an Extremely Online nomadic artist with an indomitable spirit. experimenting and expressing myself online changed my life. Now I want to bring that spirit to my art: make things, ship them, and see who finds me

Not only is it never too late to massively turn your life around, everyone wants you to It’s easy to get caught up in shame and feel like you can’t admit your problems to the people in your life, but they generally know something is off even if they don’t know the details And (generally, not without exception) they’re waiting for you to turn things around & will welcome you back warmly when it happens

Me using llms to code 6 months ago: So Gemini listen carefully here's the project, you're gonna help me write a project document that I'm gonna review carefully. Then we're gonna use it to write an architecture document to specify the tech stack. We'll use those to generate workplans to parse the project in set tasks. I'll get Claude to execute those workplans and fill report templates carefully. I'm gonna read and understand every line of output at every step. Then I'll get GPT to review the code and debug. Me using llms to code now: *at 1am in bed, suddenly having an idea, grabbing my phone and opening Claude code* hey plz make a website that makes a gym program for my gf where you can clic exercises to expand to yt videos that shows u how to do them. I'll check your work in the morning ty gn!

LONDON - Saturday (tomorrow afternoon) I'm giving a workshop on the psycho-epistemology of touch. Touch epistemology I'm not sure how to break it to you Popperians, but it is not the case that you are a floating brain and all of your thinking happens inside your head. 1/

Travel advice: if you plan to visit a central/northern european city, one of the best moments you can nail is "first sunny days of spring" in March/April.

I was a bit sad to have missed it this year, being in Porto. People in the south don't appreciate the first sun of the year with the same desperate joy, relief and horniness as in Paris or London.

So love to see people falling in love with Paris
Replying to @visakanv
I liked London, but I fell in love with Paris really quickly, which I did not expect. We popped into Notre Dame on a whim and it is beautiful

Usually annoying thing I've just successfully used AI for: Used Claude chrome extension and asked it to download an image from a site that prevents 'right clic' + 'save image'

It's so important to be surrounded by beauty (beautiful things, people, scents, etc) everywhere because it gives you so much scope for imagination.

It's hard to realize how handicaped it makes you when you lack that often, I've found
