🇧🇫🔥 CAPTAIN IBRAHIM TRAORÉ JUST REWROTE THE RULES — AND AFRICA IS LISTENING!
"Anyone who wants to cooperate with us is welcome… but now in Burkina Faso, the resources belong to us 100%. If they come with the spirit of a master to treat us like slaves, we will expel them."
That one sentence from Traoré has shaken every boardroom from Paris to London to Toronto.
This was NOT an anti-foreign speech. This was a PRO-AFRICA speech.
Traoré made it clear:
"The resources belong to us 100%. But depending on what you bring, we can evaluate and say: we'll give 40%, or 45%, or even 50%. And we're done. That's a discussion. But if you don't want to come with the mindset that says 'they are negroes, we'll take what we want,' that doesn't work"
The old model? Foreign company comes, takes the gold, takes the uranium, takes the cotton, leaves dust and a contract written in a language the village cannot read. Profits leave before ink dries. That was not business. That was slavery with a spreadsheet.
Traoré says: THAT MODEL IS FINISHED.
"If he comes with the master's spirit, no longer wanting to treat slaves, we'll throw him out. And it's over. But if you want to be treated intelligently without ulterior motives, we discuss. The contract is clear. If you step out of the contract, we tell you to go back home. It's respect for our sovereignty."
Burkina Faso is OPEN. But open as a partner, not as a plantation.
This is the difference between a partner and a predator. Between cooperation and colonization.
From Burkina Faso to Mali, Niger, Senegal, Kenya — Africa is watching and saying: OUR RESOURCES, OUR RULES.
Do you stand with Traoré's terms? Should every African country do the same?

Let’s wish Tema Oil Refinery well and let’s encourage the present MD and his entire management staff and workers to stay the course of turn around through inspired leadership, focused supervision and meaningful motivation…
Dear MD, if there’s room try and improve the salaries and wages of all the workers from top to bottom as way of motivation but most importantly as the recognition and realization that workers are critical, indispensable and that their hard work is integral to the success of their institutions
I hope the current TOR workforce will turn the fortunes of the company around positively and dispel the mistaken belief that State Enterprises are inefficient, loss makers and must be privatized or disbanded
Long live TOR
Hurray to State Enterprises that make profits !!
THE TEMA OIL REFINERY REVIVAL IS SOLELY THE WORK OF THE CURRENT MD AND THE GOVERNMENT. THE LAST ADMINISTRATION PILLAGED, ATTEMPTED TO SELL TOR TO CRONIES AND LEFT TOR MORIBUND. THEY CAN'T BE CREDITED WITH ANY PART OF THE CURRENT TURN AROUND. BUT FOR Kofi Bentil , ME, AND THE OSP THE REFINERY WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLD AS SCRAP BY THE LAST GOVERNMENT.
Anyway in November 2025, the new MD of Tema Oil Refinery invited me to understand what he is doing to revive one of the most abused and raped state institutions.
I wrote the following..
" A moribund debt-saoked institution and a demotivated and partisan ageing staff were the legacy of the other guys who left last year. $500m in debt due to mostly crookish high-way paper robbery by kith and kin of the last guy who was also the Jubilee House overlord.
The new younger MD is slowly breathing life into an asset l would long have sold to competent private hands. He is restructuring the debt iceberg he met, thawed a little in a few millions saved. He is retrofitting the Refinery with internally generated funds, not borrowed a dime, and you only need to listen to the technical staff who bear witness to the respectable turnaround.
Of course he has the benefit of technically sound folks like Nana Amoasi VII, CEO of Institute for Energy Security.
I had just two words of advice for the MD of Tema Oil Refinery, Edmond Kombat Esq.; leave a legacy through effective and efficient leadership so your children, family and village would not be shamed as others who looted state funds have rendered theirs. Good luck."
TODAY . Kombat, please TOASO!

Sonra Çin’in klasik hikayesi başladı.
Aslında Çin’in sanayi politikasını yüzlerce sayfalık raporlarla anlatmaya gerek yok.
İki tane ikinci el Alman makinesi bütün hikayeyi anlatıyor.

In just 100 years, science has transformed medicine, technology, communication and living standards on a scale that arguably surpasses religion’s tangible contributions across its entire history.

Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim says he wants to introduce a new National Housing Levy, but he is scared the people of Ghana will revolt.
He should be. And not because fellow countrymen and women hate paying for development, but because we know how to count.
Before anyone proposes another payroll deduction to close our 1.8 million-unit housing deficit, run the maths on the laws and money we already have:
▪️Eighteen years ago, Parliament passed the National Pensions Act, 2008 (Act 766). Sections 103(2) and 114(2) explicitly allow every worker to use their mandatory Tier 2 and voluntary Tier 3 pension funds to secure a mortgage for a primary home.
▪️By the end of 2025, private Tier 2 and Tier 3 pension funds had accumulated a staggering GH₵79.8 billion. Yet according to Table 28 of the NPRA’s audited Annual Report, out of more than 3 million contributors, how many workers got approval to use their pension for a primary home mortgage in a full year? Just 20.
▪️Why did only 20 people succeed? Because Section 103 only gives the bank a paper guarantee, not cheap cash liquidity, leaving banks charging 24% to 28% interest on a standard 3-bedroom Accra house that now costs GH₵890,000. At 24% interest, the monthly payment is GH₵18,000. A teacher or nurse earning GH₵6,000 is disqualified at the bank’s front door.
▪️Meanwhile, three borders east in Benin, a brand-new 3-bedroom social villa at Ouèdo costs US$37,500 (30–40% cheaper than Ghana), and any public or private worker can move in with zero deposit and pay roughly GH₵2,500 (97,000 FCFA) a month over 25 years under a rent-to-own scheme.
▪️Benin didn't achieve that by slapping a new tax on workers to subsidise cement cartels and inflated contractor bills. Benin's state absorbed the 30% infrastructure surcharge (roads, storm drains, water mains, and power grids) before pricing the houses, and set up a bank-led delivery vehicle (SImAU) to buy materials in bulk across 10,800 homes at once.
We don't need a new National Housing Levy. We need to:
1. Channel just 5% (GH₵4 billion) of our existing GH₵79.8B Tier 2/3 pension pool into a privately governed housing SPV (controlled by Trustees, TUC/CLOGSAG, and banks—zero politicians) to fund single-digit rent-to-own mortgages.
2. Synchronise 15% of existing Roads, Energy (ECG), Drainage (Hydro), and Ghana Water capital budgets to service housing land banks upfront instead of retrofitting unplanned slums at triple the cost.
3. Break the asymmetric pricing cartel in cement and steel through bulk factory-gate off-take and CSIR pozzolana/burnt clay brick mandates.
4. Partner with Stools and Families on a Land-for-Equity basis under Act 1036.
You cannot tax a nation into affordability while leaving a cartelised, high-cost supply chain untouched. Fix the plumbing before turning on the tap.
What stops us from using the GH₵79.8 billion we already have under Act 766 before asking workers for another pesewa?

CEDI-YUAN Trade payment transactions is in the right direction !!
However let’s make sure Ghana promotes and increases her exports to China significantly to effect a more balanced trade
Ghana chocolate is popular in China …
And I can see Ghana fashion clothing in kente and chinese silk combo properly designed for the high-end market being embraced
Every single opening we create must have an advantageous policy with resources and implementation schedule behind them to help extract the inherent benefits…
And reflecting on this Cedi-Yuan arrangement further, I can see a Cedi-Euro arrangement with Ghana’s top trading countries in Europe
And why not Cedi-Rupees, Cedi-Rubles, etc etc
Everything is possible now so let’s think outside the box and create new beneficial economic alliances to underpin the new Ghana we want and can build

Great observation from our Sister Forson …
Why wait for people to build their livelihoods at “the wrong places” before acting?
The whole nation needs RESET, starting with a radical but patriotic mindset change
Sone people are underpaid, unsupervised and hence unmotivated to do their work …
And hence Ghana needs badly:
Wages and Salaries Reform as part of the President’s RESET Agenda
Too many workers can’t breathe because their heads are under water due to poor pay…
GOOD PAYING JOBS ELICIT HIGH MORALE AND PRODUCTIVITY…
Poor Wages kill morale, kill incentives and productivity, contributing to the pervasive phenomenon of simple responsibilities not being carried out across board!
Salaries and Wages in both the public and private sectors are crying out for RESET
Some people go to their work places not to focus on their assigned tasks but to look for what and how they can “do something”, anything in the “papapa” realm to supplement their woeful salaries
We must look at this cancerous practice that has become endemic of
“we pretend to pay them and they pretend to work”
It is setting Ghana back and pushing more Ghanaians into poverty and illicit activities to survive…
This must change
Workers must be paid well to generate a much better culture of work that can underpin our collective desire to progress…
The problem here isn’t the people. It’s the authorities who’ve sat back and watched this happen.
It’s someone’s job to ensure that no one sets up there in the first place.
But they will wait.
They’ll wait until people depend on this place for their daily bread. Then, after allowing it to continue, they’ll send people to destroy their goods and kick them out.
Why wait until people have built their livelihoods around a situation you had a responsibility to prevent?

My biggest flaw if I ever wanted to go into politics is that I am unable to give up on the idea that our politics can be better.
That’s my biggest flaw. I am unable to accept things as they are.
I can’t be partisan to save my life. I always by default think of what is best for Ghana, and not what is best for a political party.
I feel that disqualifies me from our politics as it is.

Ghanaian police can forensically map phone records, remittances, and “high-profile funders” of a TikToker in days, then put the CID boss on camera about it.
But they wouldn’t apply that same energy to the people financing galamsey that’s poisoning rivers and wrecking farmland, and to the networks turning Ghana into a transit corridor for narcotics.
If phone data and money trails are good enough to chase “Ghana Jollof,” they’re good enough for the people actually collapsing the country. This is nothing but theatre.
