How is it that governments upon governments since independence do not see that high tech industry is the way to save our country from poverty and dependency?

I'm confused. Hustling too we shouldn't hustle again or what do they want us to do?

Galamsey: I think govt following the lead of the media is really yielding results in its fight against it. If it's all over the news with arrests and action, it can rewire people's mind to not venture in it. Maybe!

🇧🇫🔥 CAPTAIN IBRAHIM TRAORÉ JUST REWROTE THE RULES — AND AFRICA IS LISTENING! "Anyone who wants to cooperate with us is welcome… but now in Burkina Faso, the resources belong to us 100%. If they come with the spirit of a master to treat us like slaves, we will expel them." That one sentence from Traoré has shaken every boardroom from Paris to London to Toronto. This was NOT an anti-foreign speech. This was a PRO-AFRICA speech. Traoré made it clear: "The resources belong to us 100%. But depending on what you bring, we can evaluate and say: we'll give 40%, or 45%, or even 50%. And we're done. That's a discussion. But if you don't want to come with the mindset that says 'they are negroes, we'll take what we want,' that doesn't work" The old model? Foreign company comes, takes the gold, takes the uranium, takes the cotton, leaves dust and a contract written in a language the village cannot read. Profits leave before ink dries. That was not business. That was slavery with a spreadsheet. Traoré says: THAT MODEL IS FINISHED. "If he comes with the master's spirit, no longer wanting to treat slaves, we'll throw him out. And it's over. But if you want to be treated intelligently without ulterior motives, we discuss. The contract is clear. If you step out of the contract, we tell you to go back home. It's respect for our sovereignty." Burkina Faso is OPEN. But open as a partner, not as a plantation. This is the difference between a partner and a predator. Between cooperation and colonization. From Burkina Faso to Mali, Niger, Senegal, Kenya — Africa is watching and saying: OUR RESOURCES, OUR RULES. Do you stand with Traoré's terms? Should every African country do the same?

The thirty-five(35)-year-old, one of Europe’s most wanted fugitives, is believed to be residing in Sierra Leone, although authorities in Freetown have denied claims that he is in the country. Let’s wish Tema Oil Refinery well and let’s encourage the present MD and his entire management staff and workers to stay the course of turn around through inspired leadership, focused supervision and meaningful motivation… Dear MD, if there’s room try and improve the salaries and wages of all the workers from top to bottom as way of motivation but most importantly as the recognition and realization that workers are critical, indispensable and that their hard work is integral to the success of their institutions I hope the current TOR workforce will turn the fortunes of the company around positively and dispel the mistaken belief that State Enterprises are inefficient, loss makers and must be privatized or disbanded Long live TOR Hurray to State Enterprises that make profits !!
THE TEMA OIL REFINERY REVIVAL IS SOLELY THE WORK OF THE CURRENT MD AND THE GOVERNMENT. THE LAST ADMINISTRATION PILLAGED, ATTEMPTED TO SELL TOR TO CRONIES AND LEFT TOR MORIBUND. THEY CAN'T BE CREDITED WITH ANY PART OF THE CURRENT TURN AROUND. BUT FOR Kofi Bentil , ME, AND THE OSP THE REFINERY WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLD AS SCRAP BY THE LAST GOVERNMENT. Anyway in November 2025, the new MD of Tema Oil Refinery invited me to understand what he is doing to revive one of the most abused and raped state institutions. I wrote the following.. " A moribund debt-saoked institution and a demotivated and partisan ageing staff were the legacy of the other guys who left last year. $500m in debt due to mostly crookish high-way paper robbery by kith and kin of the last guy who was also the Jubilee House overlord. The new younger MD is slowly breathing life into an asset l would long have sold to competent private hands. He is restructuring the debt iceberg he met, thawed a little in a few millions saved. He is retrofitting the Refinery with internally generated funds, not borrowed a dime, and you only need to listen to the technical staff who bear witness to the respectable turnaround. Of course he has the benefit of technically sound folks like Nana Amoasi VII, CEO of Institute for Energy Security. I had just two words of advice for the MD of Tema Oil Refinery, Edmond Kombat Esq.; leave a legacy through effective and efficient leadership so your children, family and village would not be shamed as others who looted state funds have rendered theirs. Good luck." TODAY . Kombat, please TOASO!

Accountability is giving it at its raw form and having the public scrutinize it like the opps are doing. After correcting the errors there will be no one questioning anything. We Ghanaians will decide if he’s done wrong or not? Not the opps
Dear Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and all NDC ministers and institutional heads: a simple piece of advice going forward. In trying to be transparent with Ghanaians, you supplied raw, uncleaned, and unaudited reports and files to the NPP and media personnel looking for chances to hang you from day one. That was a big mistake. Anyone who has followed your politics knows how much you value accountability and transparency, so you wanted to give the public everything. In doing so, you handed people seeking to damage you the power to manipulate, distort, and analyze your data at face value. They seized on clerical errors, mismatches, and other common data issues such as duplicates, which often arise in data collection. Going forward, never release any data unless it has been cleaned, validated, and audited through multiple processes. That will produce more transparent and valid data with few or no issues. If you were corrupt, you would have had people enter all the data into a spreadsheet and balance everything so the public received clean data with zero or few issues. To all NDC leaders: do not rush to please the Jandam-hungry opposition and their media people, who take money to push narratives in the name of speed and transparency. Those of us who work with data know how a 1 or 0 can change a report’s interpretation. It also makes sense why the Roads Minister refused to supply the media with its contract data. Clean up, straighten things, and do it with integrity, putting the nation first. Accountability matters and many of us seek it every day, so handle it with the precision it deserves.

I guess we all can’t be engineers. How about going into the refinery and helping produce the oil… that’s jobs right?
Yesterday, ToR's MD @EdmondKombat_ briefed the media on how a refinery that wasn't refining for years is now refining again. I've gone through the slides, and I must say there's a lot to be encouraged by. ToR is refining crude again. From 2022 to 2024, it refined nothing. So far in 2026, it has processed about 441k tonnes of crude. Management expects to process about 525k tonnes by the end of the year, which would be more than in 2020. Management expects revenue to almost double this year, to about 547m cedis. ToR has also cleared six years of unaudited accounts. ToR is getting paid faster too. In 2024, it took about 3 years on average to collect what it was owed. In 2025, that came down to about 21 months. What it owes others also fell from 7.1 billion cedis to 5 billion cedis. There are still some things to keep an eye on. About 43% of what ToR produces right now is fuel oil. The unit that turns heavy oil into petrol, diesel and LPG is due for repairs this year. Once it's fully restored, we should see more petrol, diesel and LPG coming out of the refinery to support local consumption. The second is output compared with capacity. ToR says the refinery can do up to 45k barrels a day. Based on the data so far, it has averaged about 12k barrels a day this year. I'm looking forward to seeing output get closer to that capacity. Finally, costs. Insurance and maintenance have eaten up most of this year's gains, so operating profit is expected to rise only from 86m cedis to about 93m cedis. Some of that is the cost of bringing an old plant back to life, and I hope it settles as the plant stabilises. Overall, a good news story with more to look forward to!

Sonra Çin’in klasik hikayesi başladı. Aslında Çin’in sanayi politikasını yüzlerce sayfalık raporlarla anlatmaya gerek yok. İki tane ikinci el Alman makinesi bütün hikayeyi anlatıyor.
