Great to be in St. Petersburg today with state and local leaders to highlight the need for meaningful property tax relief.
Florida taxpayers deserve a break. Amendment 3 provides the most meaningful homestead relief in history — and provides a pathway for even more.

As much as I love being the contrarian, I must report that “You Can See Everything” is indeed an extraordinary bit of filmmaking. Just from a pure craft perspective, it is unquestionably a masterpiece. An effective and emotionally layered psychological thriller in the form of a documentary — and it holds your attention for 3 hours. I don’t think anyone has ever done anything like that with the documentary genre. And I say that as someone who has made two of them. Pretty easily the best movie of the year. It wont be to everyone’s taste but it’s hard to deny that, artistically, it’s a triumph. Other filmmakers in the genre (myself included) need to up their games. Meanwhile, Nathan Fielder — across TV and now film — has never made a bad piece of media. Batting a thousand. Remarkable.

It’s beyond disgusting that the Cuban Club in Tampa is hosting socialists Bernie Sanders & Angie Nixon. The Cuban Club was founded for the benefit of Cuban-Americans. Tampa has one of the largest Cuban refugee populations in the country—people who lost everything due to socialism. Shame on the Cuban Club for allowing this.

This comes after someone left a DOG to DIE on the side of the road before Milton, but the dog was RESCUED before anything could happen
"That you'd tie a dog up on the side of the freeway?"
That dog, Trooper, was found tied to a fence on I-75 in Tampa with floodwaters rising. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper pulled him out
After that, Florida passed "Trooper's Law," making it a FELONY to leave a dog tied up and stranded during a disaster
TAKE YOUR PETS. Give them to a free hurricane shelter.

Amendment 3 would raise Florida's homestead exemption to $150K in 2027 and $250K in 2028, while capping assessment hikes on rentals and second homes at 5% instead of 10%. That's real relief for homeowners who've carried the property tax load for years. I'm voting yes.
