All new U.S. Tesla vehicles can now provide backup power to your house if you install a Powerwall home backup battery with it. This combination can power your home for 2+ days when the power grid is out. The Powerwall provides 24x7 backup coverage even when your Tesla is not plugged in and manages the power flow to your home during the outage. When your Tesla is plugged in, you get the extra backup capacity. Oh, and your Tesla can drive you anywhere you want to go with Full Self-Driving (Supervised).
