Hinojosa on AI/Data Centers: We have always been a pro-business state in Texas. But what changes now with me as governor is it has to be a partnership that benefits Texans.  What has happened is data centers have moved into mostly rural communities, and there are no rules and laws to protect Texans and Texans are being taken advantage of.  So the difference is we will have laws to protect Texans, and we need to stop what we are doing with data centers until we have those protections, we can have a strong economy, strong industry and protections for the people of Texas. Those things are not mutually exclusive. And I'll make sure as governor, I lead to ensure that that happens. Tapper: So you're not ruling out that data centers will be able to be built in Texas. It's just you want there to be regulations to protect communities. Is that right? Hinojosa: And that communities have a seat in the at the table to decide if and how these data centers come into their communities. Texas is like a country. We are so diverse in all the ways different communities have different needs, and those communities have to be able to walk away from the table to leverage what they need for their community. So absolutely, we need to make sure they are partners in this effort. And that has always been my position. It is not that I hate data centers. I hate the way they are taking advantage of Texas, and that stops when I'm governor.

Please reject the grifters claiming voter fraud in Texas. They’re doing it for clicks. They’re doing it because they think you’re dumb enough to fall for it. But you’re not. Voter fraud didn’t lose us Texas. We did that ourselves. We have to rebuild. And the grifters aren’t helping.

Mitt Romney is not the problem. He isn’t necessarily the solution either, but he is not the problem. Trump is the problem. JD Vance is the problem. MAGA is the problem.

The two maps don't even map the same data, Bro. This is intentionally deceiving.

I can’t believe all the Republican state legislatures rigged their state elections to allow Democrats to win. WTF.

Except that's not what you guys are doing. You're not "suggesting" a reduction in Indian immigration, you're telling natural-born US citizens that they're foreigners who can't assimilate, attacking their faith, & calling them racial slurs. No wonder they aren't voting for you!
An Indian can be a lifelong Republican but will vote straight Democrat if you even SUGGEST that we need to reduce Indian immigration. Thats a hostage situation.

I love the idea that Democrats stole the election in 2020, then forgot to steal it in 2024, then remembered again in 2026
There is 0% chance that every single county in Kansas shifted blue. ZERO PERCENT CHANCE

Re: Vouchers for School Choice. People keep saying the money should follow the child, but that's not actually what's happening in Texas. The state didn't put money into an individual account for every child and then let parents take it wherever they choose. Public school funding is calculated through a state funding formula based partly on enrollment and attendance. Texas created a separate $1 billion taxpayer-funded voucher program to help pay for private schools and homeschooling. Many of the children receiving vouchers were already attending private school or being homeschooled. They weren't leaving public schools. Taxpayers are now helping pay expenses those families were already choosing to take on. Meanwhile, taxpayers are still paying to support public schools, and those schools still have to maintain buildings, pay teachers, provide transportation and educate the children who remain. This is not the same money following a child. It's an additional public expense that taxpayers are helping fund alongside the public school system.

Since it happened, I think the odds are pretty good. Also, I think the odds that the Democrats successfully rigged an election in a state run by Republicans for decades — without anyone noticing —seems kind of unlikely.
What are the chances of nearly every single county going more democrat in a state trump won by 14 points?

Throwback to when James Talarico questioned the author of the “furries bill” who said schools are letting children use litter boxes. Abbott couldn’t back it up. Republicans ran w this hoax to fuel their failing agenda. Same w the trans kids psyop. They know it’s not happening
Abbott: And I care about our children. I don't want to see them transgendered at school.

In case anyone is wondering what kind of Senator James Talarico will be, here’s him challenging the author of the Ten Commandments bill in the Texas house. He’s been fighting extremism and hypocrisy for a long time
