Replying to @lizzybetsdad
@lizzybetsdad since I’m blocked by that coward because I disagreed with him let me ask you this? Who do you think funded the weapons for israel when the mass slaughter of the Palestinians began? And how can you sit there and lie and have no problem doing that?

What happens when we elect a Dem majority and they don't:
End the war in Iran.
Hold Israel accountable.
Abolish ICE
Stop the survilence state
Pass universal healthcare
What happens when (as usual) nothing changes?
What's next?

This is why the billionaire class is freaking out.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin in particular has completely lost it - he has spent 102 MILLION, all to defeat a tiny tax on his ginormous fortune.
It's honestly sad to see: so rich, and they still don't understand what's really scarce in life: your fucking time on this planet!
Instead, this guy spends hours, days and weeks obsessing over this little tax that he'll barely notice. Pathetic.
If California’s “billionaire tax” passes, it will amount to the first time that a government in the U.S. has successfully taxed the assets, rather than the income, of extremely rich people as a class. newyorker.com/magazine/2026/…

30 years of Super Mario 64 and I genuinely don’t think people who weren’t there can understand just how magical this game felt.
Walking into Peach’s Castle for the first time. Hearing the music. Running down those hallways, finding a painting, and realizing you could literally JUMP INTO IT and enter an entirely different world.
Every door was a mystery. Every painting was a new adventure. Every star felt like you’d discovered something nobody else had.
The first time you flew with the Wing Cap. Racing that stupid penguin down the slide. Swimming through Dire, Dire Docks. Running around Bobomb Battlefield with absolutely no idea what you were supposed to be doing, but somehow having the time of your life.
And the music. God, the music.
There was no YouTube tutorial telling you where to go. No internet spoiling every secret before you found it. Just you, your N64, and an entire new game to be explored.
I think what makes me emotional looking back is realizing we weren’t just experiencing one of the greatest leaps in gaming history. We were experiencing a kind of childhood wonder you can never quite get back. Those mornings sitting on the floor in front of the TV, completely lost in a world that felt so big.
I can still hear the castle music and immediately feel like a kid again.

Under capitalism if you steal from your employer you go to jail but if your employer steals from you then you need to win a class action lawsuit to get back what they stole, and they suffer zero consequences. Capitalism is all about using state power to protect capital by force.
Since 2023, more than 200,000 Dashers in New York City were underpaid or paid late under the City’s delivery worker pay rules. These errors were unintentional, but that doesn’t make them acceptable. Dashers should be paid in full, on time, every time. We take full responsibility, and we’re deeply sorry.
We’ve reached a $131.5 million settlement with the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Every impacted Dasher will receive the amount they are owed, and they’ll be contacted directly with payment details.
We understand the impact of even one missed or late payment. We’ve addressed the issues that caused these errors and made changes to prevent them from happening again.

The City of New York asserts this was not a mistake.
“For years, DoorDash failed to count every hour worked by delivery workers,” Mayor Mamdani said. “This was not a rounding error or an accidental mistake.“

It's always strange how the US uses its unparalleled military and economic power to strangle and suffocate the economies of small nations it dislikes, then points to the intended devastation as proof that those countries are bad and don't work, with no reference to the US role.

Hind Rajab was a five-year-old Palestinian girl killed by Israeli military firing several bullets along with six family members in Gaza City on January 29, 2024. Audio recordings of Hind calling for help sparked international outrage. In August, Israeli military confirmed soldiers fired on the vehicle and ordered an internal criminal investigation into the incident.
Al-Shaair was previously fined $11,593
Ed Sheeran’s opener, Aaron Rowe, has dropped out of the tour:
“As Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation. I cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children. I would lose all respect for myself to carry on as normal […] FREE PALESTINE”

The magnitude of Trump's personal corruption and the monetizing of the presidency by him and his family have no precedent in US history.
It takes a total peasant mentality, or some weird cultish devotion, to defend or excuse this, especially if you objected to corrupt Biden transactions (as I did). It's on a completely different scale.
Trump set up a crypto company (World Liberty Financial) 4 days before his inauguration, then had the UAE pour hundreds of millions into his pockets for 49% of it, then gave rewards to the UAE. Jared getting $2 billion from the Saudis. On and on and on.
President Trump reaped at least $2.2 billion from his family’s holdings last year, a new filing shows.

Jaime Harrison was a Podesta Group lobbyist for Lockheed Martin, Boeing, BP, for-profit colleges, big banks, and the credit industry
He raised a record $109 million in a doomed race vs Lindsay Graham, and lost badly
Harrison embodies why so many hate the Democratic Party
I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination.
Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.
Focus on building the party you actually support.
Political parties aren’t perfect, but they’re built by millions of people who knock doors, make calls, organize meetings, and fight for the values they believe in. If you don’t believe in the party, then don’t ask its members to carry you across the finish line.

Donald Trump, in 2016, questioned every piety and broke every rule (he questioned NATO's worth and even mocked John McCain's POW status), leading the political and media class to repeatedly pronounce his candidacy dead. But he won: because they never grasped how much people hate their elite class and therefore also hate their pieties and rules.
That anti-establishment hatred isn't the exclusive property of of Trump. In fact, Trump has utterly squandered it: there's basically no economic populism or foreign policy heterodoxy in Trump's second term, which has created a huge opening for the left to seize that mantle.
I get that if you're ensconced in DC think tank conferences or Morning Joe studios, it's Gospel that Claire Valdez's views on unions and health care and Israel are politically fatal nationwide. They're not: no more than Trump's "transgressions" were. The most potent political force by far -- not just in US politics but in the democratic world -- is hatred of establishment politics, and that has rendered almost all of the old rules entirely obsolete.
DC Democratic politicians can't embrace this kind of anti-establishment populism -- by far their most potent weapon -- because they're enslaved to a donor class that won't allow it. But their own voters are forcing it on them. Zohran's win by itself should have demonstrated all of this, but for those who didn't see it then or didn't want to, it should be extremely clear now.

She is right. The Democratic Party exists to protect capital and keep us trapped in the duopoly, yet the American left continues to gloss over the countless betrayals & remains loyal to a party that would rather collude with Republicans than fight back against them.
The fact that a viable third party is closer to emerging on the right than on the left only reinforces the stranglehold that Democrats hold over the very voters they sell out and betray over and over again.
I get that folks are afraid of change, but what you should really fear is continuing to hand power to a fake opposition party that gives Republicans everything they want. Until we collectively take the leap to build and agitate for an alternative, nothing will change. A better world is possible if we fight for it!

Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer completely betrayed the residents of Saline Township, Michigan, today by attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the $16 billion AI data center they tried to stop.
Here she is posing alongside the most dangerous CEO in America, Sam Altman.
If you’re wondering why these betrayals keep happening, it’s because Democrats exist to serve capital and mislead the working class. They don’t oppose Republicans. They collude with them to serve the billionaire class.
