We have broken ground on a new Surgical Block at the Homa Bay Teaching and Referral Hospital; a significant investment in the future of healthcare for Homa Bay and the surrounding region.
This facility will expand surgical capacity, relieve pressure on existing wards, improve patient flow, and create a better environment for specialised surgical services, enhancing access to care and reducing the burden of travelling long distances.
The investment includes both infrastructure improvements and support for our healthcare workers who provide these essential services. We extend our sincere gratitude to Cabinet Secretary for Defence Hon. Soipan Tuya, Senator Moses Kajwang', MP Hon. Peter Kaluma, MP Hon. Dr. Eve Obara, the County Assembly leadership for joining us to mark this momentous milestone for Homa Bay.

The only thing ODM leadership in Nyanza seems good at is mobilising school buses to ferry people to political rallies.
All their development plans remain either architectural renders or elaborate ground breaking ceremonies. Very little ever seems to make it beyond the launch.

White gay male. But none of that counts when you concentrate on issues like this man does. He doesn't stand in front of the people as a white man, or a gay man. He's there talking as a human being who understands and feels their pain and is offering a solution. In a language they understand. Politics of issues.
Not that his race or sexuality should be hidden. People know about it. But that doesn't matter and should'nt matter. Stick to the issues. Identity politics is a distraction.

Is SHA working? Evidence from the KMDHS suggests that:
- Only 39.4% of the population is on SHA.
- Only 20% of the population contributes.
- Only 8.8% of the population paid its premium this month.
This suggests registering people does not always mean they'll pay.🧵
