So many otherwise trusted sites are posting deadly misinformation about bonfires, and hedgehogs who may be nesting under them. PLEASE BE CLEAR: ❌Poking a broom or stick under the bonfire will do nothing - even if you actually hit the hiding hedgehog and hurt her, she will NOT run. Hedgehogs DO NOT have the flight or fight reflex that humans and other animals have. Their response to threat and danger, and even pain, is to curl into a ball and stay put, and wait for the danger to pass. ❌A hiding hedgehog will NOT hiss, or make any sound at all! They are a prey animal, you are a predator - they will NOT alert a predator to their presence, they will stay silent. ❌Lighting the bonfire from one side will NOT WORK. Their response to danger is to STAY PUT AND CURL INTO A PROTECTIVE BALL. They won't come running out. As the heat comes closer and the smoke fills her lungs, a hiding hedgehog will just curl tighter. Whoever wrote these 'tips' does not understand the nature of a hedgehog. THEY DO NOT RUN FROM DANGER. Broadcasting this total nonsense is spreading a false sense of security and is potentially extremely harmful. The only safe bonfire is one that is built or moved ON THE DAY IT IS LIT. Moving a bonfire takes less time than you'd think. There are lots of late-born baby hedgehogs around right now, who would see a bonfire as a safe place to nest. Regrets won't turn back the clock. The 'If only' will haunt you for a lifetime. If you have to have a bonfire, please make sure you do it right.

WHAT IS YOUR F-ING PROBLEM? Mr. Brianna Wu's support for Israel doesn't earn him an honorary "she/her." HE IS A MAN. Jews are not so weak that we need to trade our grasp of biological reality for support for Israel. WTF. HE is not "tran$gender," THERE IS NO SUCH THING. Unfollow!

After having one breast removed due to cancer, I elected to have the second one removed the following year. Psychologically I couldn't face mammograms every six months, and my natural breast would never match my new implant. I reasoned it this way: I didn't choose to have the first removed, cancer took it... but I could make my own decision about my other breast. I remember my surgeon being very adamant he did not recommend that I (a post-menopausal woman) have a healthy organ removed. It made me feel quite stressed that he felt this way about it. I later learned that he has a private clinic that performs 'gender affirming surgeries'.

So what are we going to do about halal slaughter? Do we stay silent because we are too scared of being labelled racist? Or do we stand up for animal welfare? As we've said before, we stand against all forms of animal cruelty. If that makes us racist so be it. #animal #cruelty #halal #Ireland
Almost 90,000 cattle slaughtered without prior stunning in Ireland in last 18 months, according to FOI figures - but Department of Agriculture declines to provide figures for the scale of halal meat production: gript.ie/almost-90000-cattle…

Anyone nearby who can stand with this man tomorrow?
Here’s our Fred. Back to stand another day, in memory of our most brave. Fred has been spat at, called a war monger and worst of all at Brent Cross, he was told by security that he wouldn’t be able to come in and stand unless he REMOVED HIS MEDALS AND UNION JACK BADGE. Where’s the gratitude?? Where’s the respect?? Shameful Bless you Fred❤️🇬🇧 @policylaila @Alexarmstrong @EssexPR @RossKemp

I’m cold turkey right now because there is none available, likely for months I’m told by the pharmacy. Big old 🤷🏼‍♀️ from the pharmacist. It’s out of his hands. Oddly enough, if I needed a transvestite male dose, it’s always in stock. They cannot dilute or compound it low enough for women. 🤯 Men can buy all the estrogen they want and that’s how we know they’re not women.
Troons ruin everything. Every set of fetishist's perv-grown moobs is a woman denied critical, female, sex-specific HRT healthcare.

I never forget that there are decent men in the world, but sometimes that just doesn’t matter as much as it usually does. This man is masturbating to murdered women specifically to defile them and their memory, which just goes to show that even after years of working sex crimes and a decade in Homicide, I’m still plumbing new depths when it comes to the sorts of vile things that some men are aroused by.

Some bigots down the pub said my mate Barry's new vagina looks like a soggy kebab that was thrown against a window. We've contacted the British police and they have agreed to launch a drone strike against these individuals.

Thank you so much, you lovely, lovely people, for helping to spread this warning far and wide, and helping to save lives. Aren't you brilliant?😊 I'm thrilled that this topic is sparking such important conversations, and is still generating broad media coverage, with the advice being featured across various mainstream press and community networks, both here and internationally. And I'm delighted to see that instead of cherry picking a snippet, they've published my whole tweet, which is really brilliant news. I’m incredibly grateful to see it resonate so widely, and awed at the sheer amount of kind compassionate people working together to get this important message amplified. Thank you to everyone who has read and shared it! I am awed at the uptake, and so grateful for your amplification - you will have saved so many lives.💞 nitter.gq/HedgehogCabin/status/2…
Halloween artificial cobweb material: It may be a bit of fake fun for you, but it's a very real and terrifying death for them. And it's not only birds. Last year I had my first call of the season of a hedgehog trapped in this horrific fake 'cobweb', made especially for gullible halloweeners to spread over their greenery, trapping all unsuspecting birds, insects and mammals, including hedgehogs. The fine synthetic fibers are difficult for animals to see and can quickly wrap around their legs, spines, and neck, leading to severe injuries. When a hedgehog struggles to free herself the web tightens, cutting off circulation and causing deep wounds. These constriction injuries often lead to permanent damage or death. Unfortunately the call was from Manchester, so all I could do was talk them through getting the poor creature to a rescue. Clearly she had been trapped there for at least one night, and her struggles had pulled the strong nylon strands so tightly that one of her toes had been amputated. Can you imagine the pain and the sheer terror? And then seeing dawn approach, while hanging there, tightly bound and helpless. Aside from being stressed, dehydrated, starving and exhausted to the point of near death, she also had horrific bite/peck wounds to her face, where she had been held there, helpless, unable to curl and defend herself, while a predator tried to eat her alive. If you have used this deadly cruel trap to 'decorate' your garden, please take it down now. Please don't be conned by the greedy makers and sellers of this rubbish into hurting defenceless animals.
