Actually, no. Zionism is about 130 years old. No Jewish text or teaching before that time was about taking over the Land of Israel by force and taking it from other people. That is not a Jewish value. Our religion never proposed or suggested that. Zionism, a modern, political ideology, arose as a rebellion against religion.

A double digit percentage of homeless people in San Francisco are former SFHA tenants, and they’re on the street in squalor because YIMBY-supported mayors sold public housing to private developers

In January 2025 my mom’s lung cancer spread to her brain. The drug with the best chance of helping her was approved in China but not here. A doctor told me, almost as an aside, that if she were Chinese she could buy it at a pharmacy. So I flew to Shanghai and came home with 26 boxes in my luggage. That was 19 months ago. My mom is still here, still working, and in her words has had an amazing three years. The drug was approved in China in 2023. The FDA approved it in July 2025. It still is not for sale here. I know of at least 30 Americans who have made the same trip. I have been scared to tell this story because I worried it could cost my mom access to the medicine keeping her alive. But the problem matters more than my silence. These drugs need to be developed and available here, and that means FDA reform. Art Allen at KFF Health News told our story this week. It also ran in The Washington Post. kffhealthnews.org/health-ind…

Clavicular CLAIMS eating PINK is DISGUSTING because of the IRON taste and it feels like a CHORE 😭👀 "I would kind of use like eating PINK as like a reward system after they do good deeds to sort of like train them." "To train their psychology, which is like a very like difficult subject to talk about, but yeah, it's certainly interesting."

“The landowner was informed that he must coordinate the olive harvest on his plot of land and was provided with the relevant contact information to arrange a harvest at a later date.” ***his plot of land***
Earlier today, a number of harvesters, accompanied by dozens of individuals, arrived to conduct an uncoordinated olive harvest in an area near Beitar Illit. Harvesting in this area requires a request to be submitted to the relevant authorities in advance of the start of the olive harvest season. This coordination is necessary to ensure the security of the area and maintain public order. Due to the security risk posed by conducting an uncoordinated harvest near an Israeli community, IDF soldiers, Border Police forces in Judea and Samaria, and officers from the Judea and Samaria District Police arrived at the scene and detained those present. The landowner was informed that he must coordinate the olive harvest on his plot of land and was provided with the relevant contact information to arrange a harvest at a later date. It should be emphasized that authorized olive harvests have taken place and continue to take place. To date, approximately 100 coordinated harvests have been conducted across Judea and Samaria, yielding many dozens of tons of produce, with security provided and coordination by the security forces, without any unusual incidents. In areas designated for coordinated harvesting, only harvesters will be permitted to enter, solely for the purpose of harvesting. As in previous years, security forces are working to facilitate a safe and orderly olive harvest season, with a firm commitment to enabling harvesting without unusual incidents or interruptions, alongside their ongoing defensive and counterterrorism missions.

It's true: the legal status of Palestinians in the West Bank is not the same as that of Blacks in segregated Mississippi. It's worse. In the Jim Crow South, Black Americans were at least citizens of the country in which they lived.
Judea & Samaria is not Mississippi. This analogy explains your inability to understand why the two state solution was never a solution for the Palestinians. This is a national conflict and not only an endless narrative about picking olives. The Palestinians of Judea and Samaria have rejected peaceful solutions. This should be understood by every Jew that has a moral compass.

This response is so telling. They literally can't imagine that Brad + the Jews who went with him feel a genuine moral + even religious obligation to try to protect Palestinians from harm. It's like looking at the Jews who went to Mississippi for Freedom Summer and asking: What's their real angle?
Is @bradlander a provocateur? Absolutely. Did he come looking for a spectacle to burnish his far-left credentials? Without a doubt. Was the IDF justified in removing him from an area where an uncoordinated olive harvest was taking place? Yes. But did doing so play directly into his hands? Also yes (just google his name and see the number of articles all over the world). We can argue all day that Lander was wrong and Israel was right, but that misses the point. In his political circles, he is now the victim of Israeli aggression, which is exactly the image he came looking for. Israel should have known better than to give him what he wanted.

I’ve been detained by the IDF, along with a group of rabbis & volunteers. We were simply harvesting olives in a grove near Nehalim in the West Bank. The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isn’t a crime under any law I know.

This clarity is so important. This akin to Zohran's 'no apartheid state has a right to exist' moment. It moves the goal posts & permanently changes the conversation. Good on AES. Stay the course. I also appreciate that he didn't fall for the 'Bibi's the real problem' misdirect.
