🔴 Bearish momentum shift confirmed. Lower high under the channel top this morning, failed at 540, hourly 9/20 cross flipped and it's been red ever since. EMAs now stacked overhead at 537'6 and 538'6.
🔷 534'6 right now. Sitting on the channel floor and the daily 9EMA at 533'4 at the same time. That's the decision level.
🟡 Here's why it matters. Volume profile shows heavy acceptance from 536 up to 542 and almost nothing from 536'6 down to 530. If 533'4 gives, there's no transactional support until the 530 line. Real bought volume is down at 527 where the Sept 3 low got absorbed.
🔻 Downside path: 533'4, 530'0, 527
🔺 Upside needs 536'6 back first, then the EMAs at 537'6 to 538'6. Nothing changes until it closes back above 539'6.
⚓ Hourly trend is down, structure is at the bottom of the range, and the daily 9 is the only thing holding it up. Watch the daily close against 533'4.

BREAKING: US diesel prices surge above $5.90/gallon for the first time in history, with prices in some states now above a record $8.00/gallon.
This comes as Iran has rejects the latest US peace proposal and the US and Iran exchange strikes in the Strait of Hormuz.
This is especially problematic as the US has officially entered its peak diesel demand period.
Inflation expectations continue to mount as a result.

Maritime traffic diverged across two critical chokepoints last week. Strait of Hormuz crossings fell 19.5% to 95 from 118, with daily traffic declining from a peak of 19 on 11 August to just three on 16 August. Of the total, 51 crossings used the Iranian Unilateral Scheme and 44 were Route Undetermined. No Hormuz TSS or Omani-route crossings were recorded.
Bab el-Mandeb crossings increased 6.7% to 254 from 238, with 150 vessels entering the Red Sea and 104 exiting. Dark transits fell sharply to 16 from 40, although compliance and security exposure persisted, with 29 sanctioned and 39 shadow fleet crossings recorded during the week.

The incident has been reviewed, and we have no concerns over the officer's actions and we are satisfied that they were reasonable and proportionate in the circumstances.
We would ask that footage is not further shared to allow the legal process to take its course.
