RFK Jr seriously needs to keep his mouth shut. You don’t get to tell women to “just breastfeed” in a country with no national paid leave, no guaranteed paid pumping breaks at work, no affordable childcare, and workplaces that barely accommodate lactating parents. Breastfeeding isn’t just a choice, it’s a system dependent behavior. If you want to promote it, you’d better start with the systems that make it possible.

It’s like magic fairy dust was sprinkled all over this hellsite and we all miraculously landed back in 2018 again. Funny tweets! Camaraderie! Conversations! I know it won’t last but man I missed this.
::waves:: Formula fed baby #1 - currently rocking AP level courses in one of the country's toughest high schools. #2 - talented competitive dancer balancing 25 hr of practice w/good grades in middle school advanced classes. Best friends with both of them, so bond is just fine. ;)

Hamas killed a 23 year old with a banner in his room saying Jerusalem is everyone's. They killed an 80 year old man who used to drive sick Gazans for treatment in Israel hospitals. They killed an 82 year old lady who advocated for peace all her life. This will never be resistance

I was devastated to learn of the death of six hostages last night, after nearly a year in cruel captivity. These innocent young people should be with their families, living full, beautiful lives, not being mourned. Their murders are an immense tragedy, and injustice.
Over the past year I’ve had the somber honor of meeting with several of the hostage families and, in particular, have spent time with Hersh’s parents, Rachel and Jon. I’ve never witnessed strength, determination, and bravery like I've seen from them. They are extraordinary people going through something unspeakable. My heart breaks for them, and for the families of all the innocent hostages we’ve lost.
We must bring those who are still in captivity home, now.

Also worth noting that low milk supply is just one of the problems that can arise with establishing feeding. How many babies are affected by the fall-out from exclusive breastfeeding promotion?
