Anime is incredible because a cartoon about a teenage girl playing the violin can leave you more emotionally devastated than a live-action series in which 95% of humanity gets exterminated.

A Simple Plan is a late ‘90s crime thriller that I try to write about often on Twitter because I think more people my age should see this film. The bottom line is that A Simple Plan is just a damn good story. Set in rural Minnesota, Bill Paxton & Billy Bob Thornton are brothers who are totally in over their heads. The two have unbelievable chemistry together in this film. If you need something to watch over the weekend, I think this is a great option.
