A seven-year-old boy in Tokyo was walking home from school. He looked down at the sidewalk. A 10-yen coin. Worth about seven cents. He picked it up, turned around, and walked two blocks to the local police box — the Koban. Watch what happens next. In most places, an officer would laugh, pocket the nickel, and tell the kid to run along. Not here. The officer pulled out an official document. He knelt down on the wooden floor so he was eye-to-eye with the boy. With a straight face and full seriousness, he asked for the child's name, the exact location found, and the exact time. He stamped the form. He handed the boy a formal receipt. Then he bowed from his knees and said: "Thank you for doing the right thing. Japan is safer because of you." Last year, people turned in over 4 billion yen in lost cash to Tokyo police stations. Over 70 percent went back to its rightful owners. You don't get that kind of society by accident. You get it by treating a seven-cent coin like the honor of an entire country.

I went to Home Depot to replace a single stripped bolt on my deck swing. A Japanese man does not ask for directions when an aisle is clearly labeled with numbers. After thirty-five minutes of wandering through an infinite canyon of 2x4 lumber and Makita drills, I was spiritually defeated. I was holding the damaged bolt against my chest like a dying sparrow. An older employee named Bob—built like a grizzly bear in a faded orange apron, holding a half-empty Dunkin cup—spotted me staring blankly at a wall of 8,000 plastic drawers. "What are we fixing, Chief?" I opened my palm, presenting the oxidized, decapitated fragment of steel. "I seek the true brother of this metal," I said. Bob took the broken bolt. He didn’t reach for a sizing gauge. He didn’t scan a barcode. He rolled it between two calloused thumb pads, brought it to his nose, and took one solemn sniff. "Five-sixteenths coarse thread. Grade 8 hardened steel. Zinc-plated. Aisle 14, bay 4, bottom drawer on the left." He turned and began marching. I followed three paces behind like an apprentice following a master swordsmith. He marched 150 yards without checking a single aisle sign. He stopped, reached his thick hand into the exact drawer without looking down, and dropped two gleaming bolts into my palm. "Take two. You’re gonna drop one in the mulch." I bowed slightly and began crafting an elaborate explanation of my gratitude in broken English. Bob gave a slow nod, took a sip of his coffee, and tapped his clipboard once. "Build it strong, Samurai." Home Depot does not sell hardware. It employs ancient wizards who restore men’s pride forty-five cents at a time.

I called a man about my roof and he told me not to hire him. He climbed up. He was up there eleven minutes. He came down and said, "You don't need a roof." I said three companies had told me I needed a roof. He said, "Yeah, they would." He said I needed four shingles and a section of flashing. He said the roof had eight to ten years left. He said replacing it now would throw away a decade. I asked if he would do the four shingles. He said, "It's a two hundred dollar job. I'll do it but you should find somebody closer, I'm forty minutes out." He talked me out of a roof and then attempted to talk me out of himself. I then spent four minutes trying to convince him to take my money. I made a case. I presented arguments. At one point I said the words "please, I insist," to a man who was trying to leave. I have crossed an ocean to argue with an American about why he should be allowed to charge me. He did it in an afternoon. Twenty thousand dollars declined, on a ladder, alone, with no witness, in eleven minutes. I asked him why. He said, "Because you'd tell people." I said I would have told people either way. He would have been paid and I would have said good things. He said, "Yeah, but not the same way." Not the same way. He can distinguish two kinds of praise. The praise for a job done well, and the praise for the job refused. He has determined the second is worth more. He is correct, because I am writing about him and I would never have written about a roof. I asked how many roofs he has talked people out of. He said, "A lot." Then he said, "I'd rather do four small jobs for you over ten years than one big one." That is a business strategy and it is also just the truth, and in his case those became the same thing, which is the only definition of an honest trade I have ever found convincing. Tell me about the time a guy told you that you didn't need the thing. I already know that's why you still use him.

Top British attorney Natasha Hausdorff stunned the audience by completely destroying the Palestinian narrative about the conflict. The truth the world refuses to accept: Palestine never existed as a sovereign Arab state. The British Mandate of Palestine was a British territory taken from the defeated Ottoman Empire after 1917. Jews lived continuously in the Holy Land for centuries — long before modern Zionism. They were the majority in Jerusalem under Ottoman rule. Jews legally bought desert land (including the area that became Tel Aviv) and turned it into thriving cities and kibbutzim. Not a single Arab was displaced by these purchases. The Arabs rejected the 1947 UN partition plan and launched war to destroy the newborn Jewish state. They lost. During that war, Arab armies ordered local Arabs to flee so they could “push the Jews into the sea.” Many did exactly that. Israel has never committed genocide. It has fought for survival against repeated attempts to commit genocide against the Jewish people. Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran’s regime are the real obstacles to peace in the Middle East. The historical facts are clear. The propaganda is not. Share this. The truth needs to be heard.

This is a heavily used bus stop opposite the main train station in Birmingham. I used to get the bus at this stop 3x week. Last night some nutter randomly walked up to a woman there and stabbed her in the neck. The police have lost control of the city. dailymail.co.uk/news/article…

It must be very quiet at BBC Verify today. Even more embarrassing is that the BBC are running advertisements about how “trust is earned”. Oh the irony.

Remember, no Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will be travelling to this match from Israel and yet, 700 officers will be required. Israeli football fans were never the threat, the Islamist mobs are the real problem.
This Thursday will see us mount a large policing operation, as Aston Villa take on Maccabi Tel Aviv at Villa Park. Find out more about our work to keep everyone safe 👉 orlo.uk/3yVqi

I was on the Huntingdon train. I only know of one attacker, he got on the train from Peterborough. He was black mid 20’s. We ran from the back of the train to the end as everyone was screaming to run, explaining there was somebody stabbing everyone and everything. 1/

NEW DETAILS ABOUT THE ANTISEMITIC VUELING FLIGHT INCIDENT: The family of the 21-year-old camp director — the one we saw violently arrested and handcuffed on the floor — has shared new information. After her arrest, the young woman was taken alone into a room inside the airport with a police officer, leaving the children scared and abandoned in the terminal. While alone with the officer, she was told she would be banned from entering Spain for two years. He then began questioning her about Israel. To be clear: this woman is French. She was managing a group of 40 French Jewish children, aged 13 to 15, on a trip to Spain. There is absolutely no connection to Israel. As a reminder, the young woman was removed from the plane by police, along with the children, for singing in Hebrew. They were then ordered to hand over their phones and delete any videos. When she refused to comply with this illegal and alarming demand, she was thrown to the floor and arrested, in front of 40 terrified children.

@vueling Airlines: now offering complimentary antisemitism with every flight. A group of Jewish schoolchildren and their teacher were kicked off a plane - for being visibly Jewish. The teacher? Arrested. The kids? Traumatized. The reason? "Passenger discomfort." We've seen this before. Different century. Same excuse. If this had happened to any other group, it would be a global scandal. But when it's Jews? Silence. • We see you. And we won't shut up.

Spanish airline @vueling forcibly removed the director of a Jewish summer camp and 50 French Jewish children from a flight because "Israel is terrorist state". A prime example of how anti-Zionism and antisemitism are indelibly intertwined. jpost.com/diaspora/article-8…

Absolutely shocking scenes from Spanish airline @vueling who kicked off fifty French Jewish kids from a flight & violently arrested the group leader. This antisemitism is not happening in a vacuum. It is fueled by the lies of the media. We are in dangerous territory now.

It will take about three minutes to use my suggested answers in the consultation - details all set out here.
I'm campaigning to stop Britain's Islamic blasphemy laws. And I need your help. Labour are trying to rig the consultation on "Islamophobia" - sending it only to favoured groups. Don't let them silence you. Click here to save our free speech: nicktimothy.com/help-me-to-d…

Every word of this needs to be read, reread and understood. The speed at which the purge of the Jews is happening in our culture is breathtaking. @Ayaan sees clearly what is happening and where it will go from here if not met with total rejection: thefp.com/p/ayaan-hirsi-ali-…

It seems clear Vylan was inciting violence and hatred. They should be arrested and prosecuted - just like the Government insisted happen during the riots last summer. By broadcasting his vile hatred, the BBC appear to have also broken the law. I call on the Police to urgently investigate and prosecute the BBC as well for broadcasting this.  Our national broadcaster should not be transmitting hateful material designed to incite violence and conflict
