To celebrate six years of sobriety today, I couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful honor than to be a graduation speaker at @TheWayOutSF’s drug treatment program, and to recognize the inspiring accomplishments of my brothers and sisters in recovery. Thank you to the @SalvationArmySF’s Joseph McFee Center, @SteveAdami and @dmpletsch — and congratulations, graduates! #WeDoRecover

Do Safe Injection Sites actually help? Does the data support it? According to a study published in March of 2026, not necessarily. This is Kym Kaufmann, CEO of @RecovExcel explaining the study and it's findings out of Alberta 🇨🇦 Let's unpack. 🧵onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/…

The priority given to sober housing by @DanielLurie @kunalmodi @mattdorsey and @RafaelMandelman has allowed people in recovery to maintain their path with programs like @TheWayOutSF and that is key to their success.
“Prioritization of sober housing culminated in the recent passage of legislation requiring all new affordable-housing projects in The City to prohibit drug use on site.” This is key. As our reporting in The Voice has shown, 30% of ODs occur indoors. sfexaminer.com/news/public-h…

"The last time I checked, sleeping on the street, using drugs on the street is against the law, so I expect the law to be upheld." People in recovery, formerly incarcerated individuals and advocates gathered in San Francisco on Tuesday to call for stronger enforcement of laws related to public drug use and to urge city leaders to hold people accountable while expanding access to treatment. abc7ne.ws/eMRSr7
