This thread is only a fraction of what I've seen & what people told me in Sagaing, Myanmar.
If any editors would be interested in any stories about Sagaing, the people, fighters, refugees, war crimes, drone units etc, or if anyone know of any editors who might, my DMs are open!
Contrary to the Student List's mass festival in Belgrade, Vucic closing rally in Novi Sad was met by a torrential downpour of rain.
It couldn't be more symbolic.

In some ways, @Lana_Nusseibeh is a compelling candidate for UN Secretary-General. She's a woman from a moderate Gulf country and has a record of effective diplomacy -- but unfortunately she has proven her effectiveness by backing the UAE's role in arming the RSF militia as it has engaged in mass murder and mass rape in Sudan, in a rampage that both the Biden and Trump administrations have called genocide. So, sure, an effective diplomat is wonderful -- but not if the effectiveness is divorced from values the UN is meant to promote. No doubt she thought she was simply supporting the policies her country's leaders set. But hundreds of thousands have died in Sudan, as best we can tell, and she has helped lead a UAE diplomatic effort that has lied about it, covered it up and persisted in it even as the slaughter continues. Shouldn't that be disqualifying?
I am standing to be Secretary-General because I believe this is a moment to act with greater urgency: to act earlier, bring people together across difference, and drive the work forward until it produces concrete results. That is how we rebuild trust in the United Nations and ensure it delivers meaningful change for the people it exists to serve.

The election rally in Čačak two weeks ago when Three Kisses for Luck arguable became the anthem of Serbia's Student List.
Serbia 🇷🇸: festive atmosphere at the Student List’s closing rally in Belgrade.
Thousands of people dancing and gathering in anticipation of Sunday’s election.
Fun fact: the song that they're singing here; 'Three Kisses for Luck' is a Serbian folks song which has become the anthem of the opposition as 3 is the number of the Student List on the election ballet.
Serbia 🇷🇸
Serbia 🇷🇸: The capital of Belgrade tonight. People as far as the eye can see.
The Student List is ready to end 12 years of rule by Aleksandar Vucic and the SNS.
to be fair tho, I just counted and since August 30th Mehdi tweeted about Hasan Piker 35 times and about Rogers around 16 times.
Me: "Do you know how many times you've tweeted about Piker since you wrote that tweet [about not tweeting about him] on August 30th?"
@mattyglesias: "Probably more than I intended to."
Me: "8 times.... you tweeted about Mike Rogers 6 times. So you're tweeting about the streamer you didn't want to talk about more than the Republican candidate you say you want to defeat."
Yglesias: "Yeah, that's fair."
Me: "Why?"
Yglesias: "What do you want me to say? You got me."

Serbia 🇷🇸: Meanwhile Vucic' SNS holds its own final election rally on the other side of Belgrade.
When comparing this crowd to those of the Student List, do you notice anything?
Serbia 🇷🇸: It's the 22nd of October and thousands of people are already gathering at several spots around the capital Belgrade for what is to be the final mass election rally of the Student List ahead of Sunday's elections.
Unsurprising that the guy who left behind such a mess in Syria pays little mind to the people of Sudan and the Horn of Africa either.
