There is only one way to fix dubs. I proposed it when I was on the @atptour Board and headed up the ATP Player Council. There needs to be 1 ranking. 75 Percent Singles Points 25 Percent Doubles Points Phase in over 5 Years All the Top Singles Players Forced to Play

Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.

Why is doubles in tennis continues to be treated like the poor relation? The question is asked in an informative blog on realitytennis.WordPress.com. It pin points one example of why the singles/doubles argument is picking up speed in the wake of the @ATPTour 's threat to cut doubles draws & prize money. Yes, money is at the core of the complaint about doubles but too little imagination is being used to find a solution. @HenryPatten will be interested.

JD - I've got 15 free minutes before my son's hockey practice ends, so let me see how many of Trump's enrichment schemes you didn't see that I can remind you of. 1/ First one is easy: Trump has executed over 30,000 stock trades, many on inside information, netting him millions.
JD Vance: "I've not seen a single shred of evidence that Donald Trump participates or sanctions in that corruption ... I've not once seen evidence that Donald Trump has enriched himself"

Abdul is a generational political talent and expert at calmly dismantling the bigotries and hypocrisies of the right. (BTW Tommy is a former Hawley staffer apparently)
This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

When I think of what my mom went through to pass the bar exam, this absolutely enrages me.
.@KatieZacharia is not a lawyer and has never been licensed to practice law. The @WSJ reports this evening that she took the California Bar Exam but failed. Nevertheless, Zacharia appeared on media programs for YEARS and repeatedly called herself a lawyer. Here's a super cut:

Thanks very helpful. "Picking your spots" is unsatisfying but part of the magic the greats know
I wrote something about approach shot success rates, and what influences them: tennisabstract.com/blog/2026…

If any cop deserves to be fired, it's this one. A father was BRUTALLY ATTACKED by Sgt. Eddie Price of the Mena PD because he was demanding answers. His 2 year old son is missing and they refuse to help despite a judges order, so they arrested the father instead.

Republican Thom Tillis: “I think Noem and Hegseth are probably the poster children for men and women who should never have the authority they've been granted.” Tillis voted to approve both of them and he’s only speaking out now because he’s retiring. Kristi Noem oversaw a rogue US government agency that murdered Renee Goode, Alex Pretti, and Keith Porter. Pete Hegseth is still in charge of a US military that’s actively committing war crimes and mass murdering schoolchildren. Tillis speaking out now, after people are dead and war crimes are still being committed, is cowardice disguised as courage. He is simply trying to save face and rehabilitate his political party that he never had the courage to stand up to when it actually mattered and could have saved lives.

Shows who the dirtbag really is
A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. Watch the whole thing:

Tennis, tour-wide, needs faster courts and faster balls. It does not need to be all tourneys or events, but even some playing faster will help
Everybody wants a faster court at Laver Cup. Spoke with the team behind the court yesterday and learned a little more about why that’s particularly difficult with Laver Cup’s black surface. It has to do with the amount of sand in the surface and balancing court speed with how the surface reflects under the arena lights. The court needs to actually appear black rather than grey, which creates another challenge with the acrylic coating that goes on top. Still learning more about the process and will report back. One interesting note: testing for next year’s court at Intuit Dome in LA begins in two days. They’re already working on it.

He just gave up on it, and the media is not covering it anymore. This infuriates me. CNN and MSNOW should get their butts over here and do live broadcasts showing this ruined national treasure. Same with the Kennedy Center, and the disaster that is the “ballroom”.

Stop lying. Here's the video of the initial breach. The doors weren't opened calmly by police. The doors were kicked open by rioters.
Replying to @AngryFleas
They did not breach the building. The doors were opened from the inside calmly by police. Several people (less than the number of admitted informants on site that day) broke an external window. This was not used by thousands of people to enter the capital. And even in the footage you can see there are already many people walking around inside the capital while the window is being broken.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The U.S. Capitol was breached on Jan. 6 2021 when Dominic Pezzola broke a window with a stolen police shield allowing initial entry. Rioters who entered then opened some doors from the inside. Footage shows a door later opened from inside allowing hundreds more to enter. justthenews.com/government/con… politico.com/news/2023/04/1…

Let them drink Moët
Republican Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino posted Trump’s inner circle spraying champagne off a gold cart like Versailles royalty after the Xi dinner. They get the party. You get higher grocery prices and costlier energy. Out of touch much? Looks like let them eat cake.

One of the most shocking and stupid moves of late: George W Bush took part as a “special guest” in a fundraiser, in Dallas, for Republican senate candidates. So he was unwilling to speak up after Jan 6, and unwilling to campaign against Trump, but happy to support the very senators enabling the agenda that is destroying democracy.
