I'm profoundly disturbed by the way that some Christian leaders in the US are drawing an equivalence between Jesus' unjust trial and execution with Donald Trump's criminal conviction.
Donald Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a scheme to illegally influence the 2016 election through hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, with whom he had an adulterous relationship.
To compare Trump to Jesus is a disgrace.
Jesus is the son of God who lived a life of selfless compassion. He fed the hungry, healed the sick, and welcomed strangers.
He laid down his life to offer the forgiveness of sins to all of us.
To make any kind of justification for Trump's actions by comparing him to Jesus is a serious, indeed a blasphemous suggestion.

When you experience a significant loss, you may try to replace your grief and guilt with something that provides meaning and purpose. But replacement isn’t healing. And you need healing.
@TimTuckerSA explains how to find it.

One of the hardest things about being alone after not being alone is the lack of a person to take stories home to - that amazing thing i just heard in a talk that brilliant move i made on the hockey field, that stupid thing i said. No_bob is not the best listener...

Sometimes the best thing you can say is nothing at all! We can't empathize with someone unless we first take the time to listen to what they're saying. Effective #listening is attentive, active, and intentional. @TimTuckerSA biblicalleadership.com/blogs…
