5 things to check around your house before fall 🍂🏠
Downspouts + gutters
Roof + shingles
Furnace + filter
Carbon monoxide + smoke detectors
Sump pump
A few quick checks now can help prevent bigger problems once colder weather hits.

Before you put your lawn mower away for the winter, there are a few things you should do first.
Changing the oil, adding fuel stabilizer, and cleaning the air filter can save you headaches next spring. Not to mention using a shop vac to clean.
Here’s how I winterized mine 👇

$HD Home Depot is already starting to roll out Black Friday deals. This is an amazing deal on a shop vac, the one I use is identical.

Ever wonder where your drinking water is stored before it reaches your faucet?
Today I had the opportunity to tour a prestressed concrete water storage tank under construction here in Ohio.
These massive tanks are designed to store millions of gallons of treated drinking water while maintaining structural integrity under ridiculous amounts of pressure.
Pretty cool seeing the construction process both inside and outside.
Infrastructure most people never see, but rely on every single day.

This is really bad news for Northeast Ohio. Morton Salt is the main supplier of road salt in the region, and this mine is shut down indefinitely due to water intrusion in the mine. The mine is roughly 2000 ft below Lake Erie.
Morton is an iconic company known for table salt, but most of their business is de-icing and chemical manufacturing.
Not to mention, a portion of their business is also supplying salt pellets for residential and commercial hard water filtration. These pellets soften the water at water treatment plants before being distributed to customers.
An all around bad scenery, especially right before winter.
Federal mine inspectors returned to the Morton Salt mine on Tuesday, Oct. 27, as investigators worked to determine what caused a major water intrusion and whether the mine can safely reopen. Read more here: fox8.com/news/morton-salt-mi…
Back in the gym, been out of a routine for too long
Time to get in the groove and finish the year strong

FIRST LOOK AT THE NEWEST RANKED DIVISION. 👀
And this field is already loaded.
4-season vet @TimproviseDIY jumps out to the early lead at +6.10%.
Rookie @JC_JustCharts is right behind him in 2nd at +3.88%.
And Mr. 500, @LiamMAHarvey , sits 3rd at +3.87%.
Behind them? A pile of familiar names and experienced FSL players waiting to make a move.
This is what a ranked division looks like when the vets keep coming back and the rookies show up swinging.
If you’ve been watching FSL from the sidelines, this is your sign.
Draft a team. Get in the league. See where you stack up.
This isn’t that high of a price when you consider what it costs to run a business.
Also, if this price is too much, get more quotes. Rule of thumb is to get at least 3 quotes for a project.
If you think this is expensive, you should hear how much fencing contractors charge
Just got quoted $2,400 to paint a 23 by 13 foot living room.
The 4 gallons of paint it takes to do the job costs about $110 at Home Depot, or around $160 if you want Sherwin Williams.
This is not a particularly skilled job.
You went to trade school, not medical school.
You own a brush and a roller.
Stop ripping people off, contractors.
