Why is questioning any of this immediately labeled the worst possible thing you can be called in American public life, while questioning Saudi money, Chinese money, or Ukrainian money is treated as legitimate foreign policy debate? Why do so many of the same names appear on the boards of major defense contractors, think tanks, media outlets, and “pro-Israel” lobbying groups at the same time? Why does the same network that screams about “foreign interference” when Russia buys Facebook ads go silent when documented, multimillion dollar influence operations from other foreign governments are an open secret in Washington? Why are there still people with active security clearances who have family, business, or ideological ties to foreign intelligence services, and why is that never a disqualifier the way it would be for almost any other foreign power? Why does the media that spent years hunting for “collusion” with one country refuse to apply the same forensic standard to another? Why do presidential candidates of both parties compete to outdo each other in loyalty pledges to a foreign capital before they even finish their loyalty pledges to American workers? Why is the only bipartisan consensus left in Washington the one that treats criticism of this particular relationship as more dangerous than actual espionage cases that have already happened? If the clearance system is real, then dual loyalty is a real security issue. If foreign aid is finite, then priorities reveal values. 🚨MANUEL SCHADWALD: The boy whose death was to be filmed on a luxury yacht, with the recording set to appear on CD-ROMs linked to the Zandvoort case. On July 24, 1993, twelve-year-old German Manuel Schadwald left his home in Berlin. He was alone. He never returned. The police launched an investigation. In 1998, it was closed without results. No body was found. No perpetrators were identified. No answers were obtained. Meanwhile, in Belgium and the Netherlands, activists discovered that the leads pointed to a far darker network. According to these accounts, Manuel was abducted and taken to places where children were sexually exploited in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The most horrifying version of events, however, leads to the yacht 'Apollo.' According to testimonies and materials attributed to Dutch intelligence services, the boy was to be sexually abused and murdered on board this sailboat, with the entire incident filmed—as a genuine snuff film. His body was to be thrown into the sea, and the yacht cleaned in a naval port. The yacht was linked to Gerrit Ulrich, whose name surfaced in the 1998 Zandvoort scandal. After his death, police reportedly found thousands of photos and recordings depicting extreme cases of child sexual abuse—including of infants—as well as client lists from various countries. One of the people investigating these connections was Gina Pardaens-Bernaer, a Belgian social worker. Her inquiry led her to materials related to Zandvoort. She sent copies to Interpol. She began receiving threats. Her son was hit by a car. In November 1998, she said: 'After what I've uncovered, either Belgium will explode, or I'll be murdered.' The next day, her car was found crashed into a bridge, with no signs of braking. Police ruled it an accident. Hours later, her lawyer's office was broken into. Gina died. Her death joined the list of suspicious fatalities connected to these investigations. Manuel's case is said to be directly linked to the Dutroux affair. The same networks. The same accusations of institutional protection. The same suspicions that powerful figures were involved and that investigations were halted when they reached too high. The authorities never thoroughly examined the connections to the 'Apollo' yacht or the Zandvoort case. Dutch police claimed they found nothing. German police closed the case without tying up all the leads. And yet, the documents are said to exist. In materials attributed to Dutch intelligence services, there is mention of a German boy murdered on a boat and of a cover-up, because 'influential people were on board.' Testimonies describe specific events and names. Gina Pardaens claimed to have a copy of a recording showing the murder. After her death, the copy vanished. Thirty-two years later, Manuel Schadwald remains a missing person. There is no justice. This case is not merely the story of a boy who disappeared. It is the story of how a child exploitation network allegedly operated with impunity across Europe for years. How investigations were stalled when they got too close to people in power. How a twelve-year-old boy could be abducted, sexually abused, and murdered while someone filmed it… and the system decided it was better not to look. Manuel just wanted to go out and play on a summer day. According to this version of events, he ended up on a luxury yacht, where he was to be raped and murdered, with his death captured on video. And 32 years later, we still don't know who was on that boat. The truth is said to lie in the documents. In the testimonies. In the connections to the Zandvoort and Dutroux cases. The question is no longer what happened to Manuel Schadwald. The question is: how much longer will we allow such cases to be shelved while those responsible remain protected?
