Issue with this: it's missing how much time you're saving doing the same amount, or how much more you're doing in the same time. You're able to leverage your human-specific skills while Claude Code (or Codex or whatever) leverages its AI-specific skills. It's a force multiplier.

YOUTUBE DELETED 13 YEARS OF WWII HISTORY At this point, I only have 3 months left to recover my channel. After that, everything on my account will be permanently deleted. (155K subs) pure archive footage of tanks + veteran stories was nuked by AI for “child sexual abuse” and “harmful content with minors”. Zero kids. Zero violations. Just historical footage. We need a REAL human review NOW! If you hate Big Tech erasing history: LIKE this post COMMENT “Restore Panzerpicture” REPOST this! if AI censorship of history must STOP! #RestorePanzerPicture #YouTubeCensorship #WWIIHistory #SaveHistory @TeamYouTube

It’s not even “common sense” anymore thanks to people learning about circadian science from @hubermanlab, @RogerSeheult, and others. You need to amend your bill to Standard Time—the only way to lock the clock that respects Americans’ health and safety. #DitchDST
Cannot wait for Destructive Sham Time to end. We should lock the clock on standard for better health and safety, right @grok ? #DitchDST

Keep in mind, the reason the meltdown from the wokes is so huge is that without being able to wear legacy studios as skin suits and coast off of their reputations they have nothing. There are too many to be absorbed by other studios who are also engaged in layoffs and they can't build their own studios from scratch and expect them to be economically viable due to their reputations and skill level. Video games are the largest entertainment (and by extension propaganda) vector in the world now btw.

What's considered a minimal quality of life today would have been unimaginable luxury to most people throughout history. Indoor plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, modern medicine, instant communication, and access to food from around the world. Much of what ordinary people enjoy today was once unavailable even to the wealthiest. Capitalism has made yesterday's luxuries today's necessities. And somehow, this extraordinary progress is presented as evidence of failure.

The “Coddling of the American Mind” expanded beyond campus free speech into parenting behaviors and social media? Its influence on modern discourse is undeniable. But did it distract us from the real causes of youth distress? I discuss the weak science of the Coddling parenting hypothesis today. Link to follow

"Terence Tao, you dumbshit" is not a judgment I would have ever thought possible before a few months ago. Tao complains "AI is generating terrible proofs: great results, but no care for elegance, for who understands them, or for what comes next". You've just described what you are supposed to do as a human being, fool. It's not the chisel's job to make a sculpture look beautiful; those choices belong to the mind and hand of the sculptor. I've been writing software for 50 years. If I, a crusty old fart from the days of punched cards, can accept that I will never write a significant amount of code by hand again - that my job is steering and quality-checking an AI now - then what is *your* excuse for mental inflexibility, golden genius boy? I'm pretty sure that if AIs actually had enough mathematical taste to be consistently elegant, and then were good enough at explanations to make their proof accessible, which is what you say you want... ...you'd be bitching harder, because you'd be entirely obsolete. Quit your whining, you spoiled primadonna. Go do your job.

How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer? Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours. So, we got your favorite meme legends back together to say it louder: What happened to the internet? 1/3

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

Very important piece demystifying EA, rationalism, doom, and their concerning relationships with the major labs. Important to understand that they will never stop preaching doom, because doom is the business model

There is a century-old technology that is so cheap and effective that developing countries give it to farm animals. Europe’s progressive regulatory tarpit blocks people from using it, killing thousands.
Climate change killed 32,000+ people in Europe this summer. Trump believes this crisis is a "hoax." Republicans in Congress are following their "Great Leader.” NO to Trump’s fossil fuel agenda. YES to creating millions of jobs by moving our energy system away from fossil fuels.

David Friedberg: We’ve Lost the Plot on Immigration “If you're providing social services to an immigrant population, then that's not necessarily a productive immigrant population in terms of being able to contribute to growing the economy and supporting civil society. But if a population of immigrants come in and they're productive, meaning they can get jobs and they can work, and they can support themselves, that means they're adding something positive to the economy, to the civil society, and that is the sort of selection criteria that needs to take place. So that's a simple framework for determining whether or not you should do this, and an easy way to solve it is get rid of social services for immigrants. As soon as you get rid of social services for immigrants, then you self-select into the right population that's going to come in. It's not about assimilating to society. It's about sharing the values of what makes the United States, the United States. The values of, what do we actually care about, what are the principles that we all share as a civil society of the United States or a civil society of France, is a screening criteria that seems to have been thrown out the window.” Jason: “Do you believe in Freedom of speech? Do you believe in the Second Amendment?” Friedberg: “Do you believe that women are equal to men? Do you believe that you should work for your money as opposed to take it from the government? Do you believe in your individual rights? Is your church paramount to the government and the laws of the state? And do you believe that other people have rights that you don't get to trample on? Those are the sorts of things that are, in many cases, counter to the cultural, religious, and other traditional beliefs of certain populations that end up causing the damage in the West, and I think that it's been kind of completely lost in the process.”

Of course it did! That's why the United States and all western capitalist nations collapsed, while the communist bloc continued its unabated ascendancy for decades.
47% of American undergraduate students believe that the Soviet Union had a better economic model than the United States.
