This may be the most damning statement ever uttered by a Labour minister. It's so revealing of the attitude of a government that thinks that employers are a class that don't work for their profits but somehow exploit others for them - rather than understanding the nature of small and medium-sized businesses and how bloody hard most employers work to create wealth and employment.
'I don't think employers are working people.' @CamillaTominey grills Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Emma Reynolds MP, over whether Labour has breached its manifesto pledge in the Budget. 📺 Freeview 236, Sky 512, Virgin 604

This is what we are expected to accept. On the one hand, the Unite the Kingdom march, described as a “far-right rally” with “violent clashes” … 23 arrests. Yet the mostly left wing protests and riots in France, have seen over 3,000 arrests and are described as … “largely peaceful”. That’s what they need you to believe. Don’t 🔥

Update: In the 27 months since Labour came to power, we've seen; • Employer National Insurance increased from 13.8% to 15%. • The employer NI threshold cut from £9,100 to £5,000. • The freeze on Income Tax and National Insurance thresholds extended to 2031. • Capital Gains Tax increased from 10% and 20% to 18% and 24%. • Business Asset Disposal Relief increased from 10% to 14%, then 18% – and now its lifetime limit halved to £500,000. • Investors’ Relief raised to 18% and its lifetime limit cut from £10 million to £1 million. • CGT relief on sales to Employee Ownership Trusts halved. • Carried interest taxation increased and moved into the Income Tax regime. • Dividend tax rates increased by two percentage points. • Savings-income tax rates increased by four percentage points. • Property-income tax rates increased by four percentage points. • VCT income tax relief cut from 30% to 20%. • Most unused pension funds brought into the Inheritance Tax net. • Agricultural and Business Property Relief capped. • Inheritance Tax thresholds frozen until 2031. • The non-dom regime replaced with a tougher residence-based system. • VAT imposed on private school fees. • Business-rates relief removed from private schools. • The Stamp Duty surcharge on second homes and buy-to-let raised from 3% to 5%. • The Furnished Holiday Lettings regime abolished. • A new annual surcharge on homes worth £2 million or more. • Pension salary-sacrifice NI relief capped at £2,000 a year. • The bank surcharge doubled. • Capital allowances for plant and machinery cut twice. • Online gaming duty almost doubled. • The Energy Profits Levy increased and extended, and its investment allowance scrapped. • Vaping Products Duty brought in and tobacco duties increased above inflation. • Vehicle Excise Duty increased for many new cars, with electric vehicles brought in. • A pay-per-mile tax on electric and plug-in hybrid cars legislated for 2028. • Air Passenger Duty increased. • Making Tax Digital extended to more landlords and self-employed people. Together they represent one of the biggest transfers of wealth from households and businesses to the Treasury in decades – with little to show for it in public services. Whether you're a business owner employing staff, a parent paying school fees, a farmer planning succession, an entrepreneur building wealth or simply someone trying to save for your family’s future... - You keep less of what you earn. - You keep less of what you invest. - You leave less for your family. Death by a thousand cuts.

We've gone from "They are all doctors and engineers" to "Desperate people fleeing war" through "they're not all rapists & murderers" to "well ok but they don't realise they are doing anything wrong." The Liberal progression.

😂 Karma just served a full English breakfast with extra irony. Oxford’s finest “Refugees Welcome” warriors are now frantically petitioning against a 1,250-bed asylum camp right on their doorstep in Bicester. Not in my (very nice) backyard, apparently! Who knew virtue signals had an expiry date and a postcode? “Isn’t karma wonderful” indeed 👏 #NotInMyBackyard #OxfordHypocrisy

Remember that most of the political journalists asking @Keir_Starmer questions at his press conference on the social media ban for under-16s are the same ones who failed to ask the right questions at Downing Stteet press conferences for 18 months during lockdowns. Why? Because they supported the lockdowns so they didn't bother questioning the evidence or the cost-benefit analysis. They largely back the social media ban so they won't do their job today either.

PRIZE PRICK Owen Jones calls the Palestine Action thugs who fractured a policewoman’s spine with a sledgehammer and rammed a van into a building “dissidents” being locked up. Yet he was quick to condemn violence in Belfast just days ago. This is the same left-wing hypocrisy we see everywhere — excusing terrorist-supporting scum when it suits their agenda while screaming about “far-right” threats. Remember these words, Jones. Your double standards are on full display. 🇬🇧 (image courtesy of @Alexarmstrong)

Do you want your hard-earned taxes going to the Palestinian Authorities to pay salaries? While British pensioners freeze, our streets are flooded with migrants, and our own veterans sleep rough, Labour is sending your money to fund a regime that pays terrorists to murder Jews. This is not foreign aid. This is funding our enemies. Britain First. Stop the handouts. Defund the terrorists.

If the Government really wanted to protect kids like they’re claiming, they’d change sentencing to stop paedophiles getting suspended sentences… They’d stop dirty foreign sex cases being housed in hotels and HMOs next to schools. Make me wrong, I challenge you.

Keir Starmer is set to impose internet restrictions on millions of Britons within days. What will that mean for our ability to log into X? Elon Musk bought X to save freedom of speech. Starmer is trying to control us. This is not about protecting children. This is about silencing dissent, monitoring every word, and turning the internet into a state-approved echo chamber. The same regime that jails people for tweets now wants to gatekeep the entire web. They fear the truth spreading. They fear you speaking freely. They fear X. We will not comply. We will not be silenced. Starmer’s digital prison will fail. The British people will find a way to speak — no matter what restrictions he imposes. Freedom will not be surrendered without a fight.

SUPERB! Trevor Phillip's BEAUTIFULLY exposes David Lammy and Labour's sickening hypocrisy. He shows him the receipts of them ALL saying it's ok to feel "fury" and "anger" over George Floyd, while they criticise Farage for saying the same about Henry Nowak. Satisfying to watch.

This is the strongest Lammy could come up with, “we were in opposition”. Pathetic, it’s clear that Lammy knows full well it’s hypocritical to criticise JD Vance for speaking on Henry Nowak when Starmer did the same for George Floyd.

No more British children need to die because of DEI. No more girls need to be raped because police and the political class couldn’t tolerate calling out Pakistani rape gangs. No more boys need to be left to drown in their blood because police assume a white boy is automatically racist. No more little girls need to die from terrorism at concerts because the public have been made to fear being called racist over preventing terrorism. Britain must change, and change fast.

They are no longer the Labour Party, they are the Welfare Party. Labour MPs think your taxes are theirs to spend - and hardworking families should pay for more welfare. Reform, Lib Dems & the SNP agree. Only the Conservative Party is holding Labour to account.

A government serious about knife crime would have mandatory sentences for possession. A government serious about illegals would turn boats back. A government serious about terrorists would stop importing them. A government serious about growth would scrap Net Zero. A government serious about its nation’s future would start protecting it. A government that cares about its citizens would start behaving like one. I sense ordinary British people have had enough.

We cannot let Henry Nowak’s death be in vain. Too many times we have prioritised ‘community cohesion’ above tough conversations. We have allowed ‘anti-racist’ zealotry to infect our institutions, putting ideology above basic humanity and common sense. For once, we must act.
