I disregard any who thinks removing HMs was a bad idea. Having to fuck over a Pokémon’s moveset or run a HM slave is just stupid and the way Gen 7 onward handles it should never be reverted.

Also the thing with min maxing is that shit doesn't work always. Like honestly at the end of the day you're at the mercy of your base stats and there's only so much thaf can go around. It's why all the quintessential min maxed mons fhat are great are legendaries/megas

This is why whiles Megas are coola nd great I think other buffs such as variant forms ability buffs, movepool erc sre kinda cooler ways to change Pokémon and make them better Some kegas plays completely different but a lot are at the mercy of their base stats bc it's a flat

I maintain mixed attackers while being super unoptimized can work the issue is they have to be fast (or slow for TR). Hoenn was fucking stupid bc they made them all have like 70 base speed. It made sense for a pre physical special split time but it does leave so many mons just

The Hoenn Special consist of a bunch of slow n frail do nothing machines that can't even find a niche to save their lives, nothing interesting about that. This hypothetical minmaxxed attacker would probably have better and more varied applications than them.

If you wanna know the scenario it's low health Incin and Neutral Gholdengo vs +1 Life Orb Kingambit at 40%. Both mons die to sucker punch only one can OHKO. Nasty Plot + Parting Shot ensure that if he suckers and does not Kowtow (which btw would have been a very cool call) both
