"Grown up" politics in the US most often means embracing policies that will ensure many of the world's people will never have an actual chance to "grow up".

Q: Were you ever a socialist?
Abdul El-Sayed: No. I'm too much of a scientist to actually believe in any sort of ideology.
I just don't do ideology. I'm a person of faith, and everyone else brings evidence.
The idea that you should have guaranteed healthcare in the country, anybody who tells you that's anti-capitalist is not really understanding how capitalism works.

One of the most effective ways to keep people from questioning an unjust system is to convince them that their ability to survive it makes them morally superior to those who can't.

this is what all Democrats - no matter what else they call themselves (be it "progressive," "justice," or "democratic socialist") exist to do. This and this precisely:

Just putting this here for now...
Jayson Tatum is within 200 points of Bill Russell on the Celtics (and the NBA) all-time scoring list.
This stuff's impossible to pinpoint, but a scenario exists he could reach that milestone in San Franciso (on the 22nd), which would be poetic.

Bro I forgot I said this
Even if this is apart of it tho we’ve only played 4 games. He could work himself into better shape + comfortability and/or his offensive involvement changes if they think it’ll be better for him
Still a lot of time but yea it’s not great *as of rn*
My working theory is @NIKNBAYT was onto something I think in the preseason when he mentioned the differences in how BOS and NYK use Mitch
BOS has him way more involved and away from the rim. Knicks pretty much had him primarily camped out at the rim/dunker spot
I think the increase in offensive involvement (more screens) may be leading to quicker fatigue, and then that plus the difference in positioning is leading to OREB% tanking

Joe Mazzulla confirmed or at least shared the sentiment on my before pre-season thoughts on if the usage/movement difference Mitchell Robinson would have here vs NYK would impact his offensive rebounding
Said that it at least has “a little bit to do with it”
“We have him a little bit further away from the rim, setting screens and play making for us”

That whole "Fetterman had a stroke and that's why he's awful" is - much like the current, "Finkelstein is old and that's why he's a bigot *now*" - is used to give cover to the people who previously supported them to claim "they changed." They didn't. They're scumbags:

They keep trying to fabricate an idea of a red line for a system that materially doesn't adhere to the logic of red lines. Impunity is fundamental to a system that never had a red-line in the first place. The concept of a "red line" a management tool legitimising ongoing impunity
