Harry G. Frankfurt dies at 94.
You can read his best selling book 'On Bullshit' in 30 minutes and spend the rest of your life trying to understand its importance to society.

Much respect. RIP.
BS=9. We have seen a lot of bullshit, but nothing comes close to this. Your ignorance of soil science is surpassed only by your willingness to deceive.

BS=1. #Air2g2 did not affect soil moisture, surface firmness, infiltration rate, or O2 conc. compared to the non-treated control.
We asked for evidence 2 years ago. We're still waiting. Meanwhile refuting evidence is piling up.

BS=6. No, just no. Do not use use acidifying agents (AGs) to 'help flush salts'.
@USGAGrnSection and @1Rowland1, much of your info on AGs is accurate but AGs will not 'help flush salts' unless the soil is also sodic. Please stop conflating salinity with Na and bicarbonates.
Most of Florida has been very dry this winter, so managing salts and bicarbonates in the soil has been challenging. Here are a few strategies that can help until summer rains return 👉bit.ly/410KcQy
These cannot be simultaneously true.
gcmonline.com/course/turf/ne… "Sorochan noted that zoysiagrass also can be planted to the edge of the green and will not encroach into neighboring areas, such as bunkers or fairways..."
@Sorochan, did you say that? If so, will you elaborate?
Redefining our edges with @ThornbladeAG team on bunkers. Less than 4 years and the Zoysia has grown in a solid 6” is areas. Doesn’t matter what liner you use, protecting the asset is the key.
BS=1. If we are going to survive the onslaught of negative press about turfgrass, we need to fund, conduct, and promote more research like this.
Thank you Mike Barnes and @erictwatkins for this work!

BS=8. Dunning-Kruger in full effect.
Find us a better example and we may use it on Season 2 of @TurfTruth Tuesdays. This would be humorous if it were not so dangerous.

BS=7. Without committing a fallacy, please show us any evidence that those specific products result in:
the most efficient & economical system of macros and micros
sending roots deep
protecting the leaf from disease.
Indoctrination is powerful.
Proverbs 22:6.
Shipment from @FSCTurftalk w/ the @earthworksturf fertilizers. Most efficient & economical system for hitting all your macro & micro nutrient inputs sending roots deep & protecting the leaf from disease pressure. IYKYK. #turflife @FertNdirtJack @bpturfgrass @GCSAA @PAGCS1925
BS=8. By request. 'Some pHactors Affecting Soil Chemistry on Greens' contains a lot of #BCSR misinformation. When the @USGAGrnSection was notified of the same, they acknowledged their error and issued a retraction. @CarolinasGCSA will you follow suit?
digital.carolinasgcsa.org/HT…
For those asking, no, we did not make these hats and we don't know how to get one. But we like them!
BS=1. The evidence refuting #BCSR continues to pile up.
"Crop yield was not affected by soil Ca:Mg ratio for any crop in any year."
The sooner we stop buying products from charlatans using #BCSR, the more efficient we will be.

BS=8. By request. Claims made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
But in this case, we have refuting evidence.

BS=6. No they are not ample. No one is refuting that evidence exists confirming #MLSN results in sufficient nutrients under the conditions of those studies. But, none of those studies provide a scintilla of evidence that #MLSN works on ALL turfgrasses on ALL soils.
Replying to @micahwoodsturf
11/ That recommendations made according to the #MLSN method "work" in being suffiencient to prevent nutrient deficiencies is well-documented. If anything, they are more than ample.

BS=1. So are we!
But let's not forget that BCSR was refuted decades ago. It only remains in our industry as a result of delusion and/or indoctrination.
Replying to @TurfTruth
MLSN works and is likely the best option for turfgrass managers. It's amazing that BCSR was published and adopted for 90+ years, only to find it was the wrong tool for our industry. I'm glad it was challenged by PACE and ATC who developed a better method.
BS=1. Thank you. Claiming #MLSN works on bent greens in Scandanavia is an ordinary claim and the paper you cited is ordinary evidence.
Claiming #MLSN works on ALL turfgrasses on ALL soils is an extraordinary claim that requires extraordinary evidence.
Replying to @TurfTruth
MLSN was resently compared and result published in a peer reviewed paper, "Reduced phosphorus fertilization on golf courses: A comparison of three fertilizer recommendations for putting greens": International Turfgrass Society research journal 2022 v.14 no.1, pp. 76-89
BS=6. We suppose it depends on what you mean by 'works', but the fact that you continue to make these #MLSN claims without providing an iota of evidence is disappointing. Evidence published in a reputable turfgrass journal is all we ask.
Oh wow, you remember that? My thoughts have developed since then, and that's the type of topic that I write about at length on the ATC website. #MLSN is a nice approach that works for any grass, anywhere. SLAN is very regional & impossible to define. BCSR is inefficient.
