Useful soil tests interpretations have predictive capability. BCSR can make one prediction with almost 100% certainty. The prediction is, when BCSR is used to manage nutrients for turfgrass, your time and money will be waisted.

MLSN is a concept or an idea, essentially a hypothesis. It may be correct, but labs should not adopt an idea simply because the idea makes sense and a lot of people use it.
If MLSN is accurate, then it will withstand scientific scrutiny when, and if, it is ever tested.

Yes, studies have been conducted in numerous crops, soils, states, and countries.
We encourage you to review this document and it’s references wqa.org/Portals/0/Technical/…

BS=9. No they don’t. We already covered this on 5/18/19.
The 30+ studies at chem1.com/CQ/magscams.html say they don’t work.
@matteoserena1 @UCRsavingturf and @NuMex_Turf have a wonderful 4-year study that also found no positive impact. @MagnationWater @Chris47728946

BS=1. Dr. Carrow has many great lines in this article but the paragraph below is particularly important.
Positive results are positive results. But how would the consumer’s perspective change if they knew the positive results only occurred in 1 out of 20 studies (for example).

BS=1. Your feelings are normal and referred to as the Dunning-Krueger effect. Those who know the least are very confident. Those who know the most are less confident because they realize they might be wrong.

BC influence on perc rate will depend on the initial perc rate. We would be interested in seeing their supporting evidence. Our supporting evidence is below.

BS=7. Please provide evidence in support. Until then, the USGA GS recommends aerifying prior to leaching.
@USGA GS 52 (9)
H2O movement through aerification channels does not occur in the manner shown, but rather as shown at 22:30 of the video below.

BS=7. If you have evidence supporting dormant fertilization, we would love to see it. @USGA Green Section specifically recommends against dormant fertility.

BS=1. Chemical soil & tissue tests are valuable for ag crops and turf researchers but have little practical value for turf managers.
#MLSN is not perfect, but it is the best we have for now.
There is a reason why companies often do soil tests for free.

BS=4. Little evidence on this topic, but what we have indicates that anti-transpirants may improve turf quality under moderate desiccation pressure, but not when winter desiccation is severe.

Observations are an important and necessary part of the scientific process, but obs are not conclusions.
Few conclusions have been made about @Air2g2Official. Some conclusions indicate a positive influence whereas others have not...the conclusions below being an example.
