What I find most despicable about the implementation of Sharia law is how justice seems is reserved for only the poor and powerless. You go to Northern Nigeria and see people who have lost their hands over petty theft, yet they're many governors from same north that have faced EFCC allegations for plundering billions and trapping their indigenes in multidimensional poverty.
Apparently, justice is swift when the accused is powerless and conveniently blind when the accused is powerful.
The same double standard is evident in how Saudi Arabia treated nationals of a less powerful nations. They executed Bangladeshi nationals without even bothering to notify the Bangladeshi government. Would the same disregard be shown towards India or Pakistan? I highly doubt it.
Trending Story: Saudi Arabia has exe/cuted two Bangladeshi nationals, Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siri Akhtar, following conviction of immoral sexual act inside a mosque in Mecca.
The “immoral act” was apparently a kiss on the forehead. They were newlyweds who decided to spend their honeymoon in Mecca.
According to reports in Bangladesh, Saudi authorities refused to consider they were a couple, and the forehead kiss was an expression of appreciation to Allah for a beautiful bride.
Their bodies have arrived in Bangladesh in two coffins for traditional burial rites.

I just noticed Betis are on some insane form this season, I'm just noticing. I was hoping Hansi rests some important players for PSG but now we have 3 upcoming games that we need to prove a point in, we need to make a reverberating statement in Europe. Use Betis to soft launch the crusade, PSG announce European dominance, Real Madrid genocide to end our case. If Hansi can do this for me, I'll build an altar for him

The pandemic of these shootings and killing is because death sentence is outlawed in most countries now.
Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing in Nnewi (Anambra) is Nigeria’s first indigenous automaker, producing cars, buses and trucks under Innocent Chukwuma. Onitsha Main Market ranks among Africa’s largest by size and trade volume. Aba’s Ariaria and manufacturing clusters produce widely exported “Made in Aba” footwear, garments and goods. University of Nigeria Nsukka was Nigeria’s first fully indigenous university. These grew largely from private Igbo enterprise after the war.

What is it about France that encourages Protests so much? They're always protesting over one thing or the other. Even when PSG won the Champions League, it sparked protest. Why why why

Today in church, I had the presence of mind to sit and think about death, the dead, people we have lost along the way, people whose lives ended while the rest of us simply continued.
One girl came to mind... Praise!
When I was in school, we were neighbours in the same lodge. I never had any real conversation with her beyond the usual “How far?” She was this typical church girl/quiet serious student. Always either coming from school or church and going straight to her room. She never really hung around the lodge, never attended our parties, never seemed interested in the things most of us were doing.
The only reason she ever came into our room once, was to collect used handouts from my roommate. They were studying the same course, except she was a level behind and wanted to start reading ahead.
So after the August/September long vacation, the evening I returned to school, my roommate had already returned earlier. From the next room, I could hear loud music and boys talking loudly. It was strange because that was Praise's room.
I asked my roommate, “How far, who is in Praise's room?”
He looked at me and said, “You didn't hear?”
Praise had died during the vacation.
A gas explosion in her kitchen.
I remember how that news sat with me. She was the last person you would imagine dying like that. A quiet girl. A serious student. A proper church girl. Someone who seemed to be doing everything right.
And yet, death did not ask how good she had been.
I think that was one of the first time death chipped something off my little faith.
Because if Praise could die like that, then who exactly was safe?
I didn't know Praise well enough to say I miss her.
But I remember her.
And maybe that is one of the quietest forms of remembrance...that years after someone has left this world, their name can still rise from somewhere in your memory and remind you that they were here.
Praise was here.
And then, suddenly, she wasn't.
Maybe that is what it means to be alive, not that we are promised tomorrow, but that for reasons we may never understand, we have been given today.

These are Igbo women in the 60s holding a meeting, discussing about their own affairs.
As a man, you dare not involved in this gathering, no matter your influence or affluence.
The Umuada group still plays a significant role in Igboland.
We have always loved and respected our women. I don’t know why this generation wants to change the narrative. It saddens me when is see some misinformation about how they are being maltreated.
I wish most of you would visit home regularly and spend time with your people.

I so wish that Titanic happened in this day and age. Feminism is ripe for this age because old fashioned men were fools. Imagine Engineers, doctors, Industrialists accepting to die for kitchen women and seamstresses to live...For Chivalry sake😂😂

Since nobody talks about it, I will. Fermin is a momentum player much like Raphinha and Flick is really hurting his game with this taking turns he keeps doing with Fermin and Olmo. Olmos ceiling is already capped, Fermin's ceiling is limitless atm. Fermin can't have an excellent game then he's benched next game for Olmo to play. This has been happening since Flick came in and all it does is nerf an inform Fermin
I’m convinced Flick will start Fermín in the Clásico and Dani Olmo against PSG. There’s no way he starts the same player in both games.
Real Madrid game will likely have more space, which suits Fermín perfectly. He’s excellent at making runs behind the defense and making the most of every opportunity.
PSG will be a more tactical game, which is where a player like Dani Olmo can make the difference. He’s extremely intelligent tactically, and especially valuable in a tight, closed game where space is limited.
Flick has two options any manager in the world would love to have. Barcelona are genuinely lucky to have both.

I rate Xavi far higher than Flick when it comes to team building. Flick is an elite team accelerator, but Xavi is more of an architect.
Flick came into an already assembled Bayern side and unleashed it. Then he went to a Germany team that needed actual rebuilding and struggled. At Barcelona, he walked into a squad that Xavi had spent years shaping.
Xavi walked so Flick could fly.
Xavi did a lot of the hard groundwork: properly profiling Koundé as RB rather than CB, Raphinha as LW rather than RW, Pedri and De Jong as deep lying midfielders, while also giving Fermin, Yamal, Cubarsí and Balde a platform. He took the risks, made the gambles and helped establish the structure of the team.
Flick then came in and unleashed what was already there.

Barca rn has some mad performance pull, there's no single player that won't won't to come to Barca. If Hansi calls Vini or Mbappe to come, I swear, they'll come

Now imagine a world where Lamine Yamal wins the balon dor this year and then next year Raphinha wins the Balon dor. Then they do their illuminati sign on balon dor podium while Yamal is handing over.

Adika said something in one of his latest videos that got me thinking hard: football goes in cycles. When it’s your cycle of suffering, brace yourself.
I had never really thought about football that way, but the more I think of it, the more it makes sense.
Pep assembled arguably the greatest team we’ve ever seen at Barcelona, and even that eventually declined. He left, built another monster at Manchester City, had virtually every financial resource needed to sustain it, and yet even that team inevitably reached a point of decline.
Look at Arsenal. On paper, there’s nothing particularly extraordinary about their squad compared to some of the giants around them. Arteta has been there for more than five years and won almost nothing for a long time. Then suddenly, they start looking like an absolute beast.
Look at PSG. They spent years chasing superstar signings, practically bending over backwards to keep Mbappé. Yet it might be Dembélé, a nobody in comparison, who ultimately becomes their most important signing in club history.
Then there’s Barcelona and Madrid.
Madrid have only continued doing what Madrid have always done: signing Galácticos. It worked brilliantly for years, worked just 3 years ago. But now they have entered their own cycle of suffering, every solution appears to create another problem, and signings that looked destined for absolute greatness aren't working.
Coincidentally, Every Barcelona’s signings, many of which were questioned at the time, are now looking like a smash hit. Even the bad businesses turned around in their favor(Nico, Alvarez).
Manchester United is an anomaly to this cycle theory

You young people in your 20s that are supporting this APC government are very foolish.
And I am not sorry to say it.
Under the OBJ and GEJ administration, young people like us then could get married and start raising our family before we turned 30.
But I put it to you that, most of you are afraid to start a family because you know that you're poor.
You can't even buy a car a rent a decent apartment unless you steal or prostitute.
You think this is life?
Do not allow the older people who are pushing you or brainwashing you to support APC to deceive you.
They had it better.
But because of what they're gaining from this evil government, they keep telling you lies.
You need to fight for your future because it's bleak.
You're 28, a graduate and you're either jobless or underemployed.
Shun religious or tribal bigotry and take back your country from these evil leaders.
They're destroying your future.
Think! Think! Think!
You're busy insulting people who challenge the government because they are paying you 5k or 20k.
You're a fool.
A big fool.

My service year in the North really exposed me to Northerners, and that's why this doesn't surprise me.
The first Northern friend I made in camp was a small boy that sat beside me during SAED classes. This guy finished drinking half of his pure water and was tying the mouth of the sachet to save the remaining water. That's how he caught my attention because I'll think of doing such a thing for 50naira water.
So I got talking to this guy and we became friends. First, I got to know Ahmed was 35 years old, more than 10 years older than me...all the while I thought he's a small boy.
Then I got to know about their big onions, pepper, etc., farms, and they're the ones sending these foodstuffs to the East. He said that at times, Biafra agitators will catch their trailer drivers on the road, burn the truck and driver, and the next day, the 4 of them farmers that own the trailer will gather money to buy another truck and find a new driver. We're talking about the biggest trucks, o.
The Igbo guy that works with them on the farm has built a mansion there in the north and travels to the East for Christmas while at the time Ahmed was telling me this, he was still living with his parents and brothers, and he was already betrothed to a girl he was going to marry after camp, and they'll all live together in that house 😭.
I forgot to say... Ahmed was using a Nokia torch phone and was eating only government food in camp. He said he left his Android with his brother at home because that's the phone they use for bank transactions.
I asked the mallam I buy fruits from why he travels a lot. He said he travels to care for his 4 acres rice, beans and potato farm.
I had to ask if he meant plots, bro say na acre. 😭 He said he has just 5 cows. Just?😩
Additionally, 4 shops in Daura where he sells produce from his farm. He has rams and often travels to Niger republic to buy rams during festivals.
Bro!! I weak!!!😭😭😭😭

My question has remained the same throughout this La Liga vs EPL comparison: why is it that EPL superstars seem so desperate to leave the moment a top La Liga club comes winking?
Vini, even while underperforming at Madrid, never considered Arsenal an option. Mbappé never dreams of playing for an EPL club. Frenkie fought off the media onslaught to stay at Barça rather than move to Man United. Yamal, Pedri and Raphinha would probably rather retire than leave.😭 Balde is literally nuking his career sitting on the bench because he didn't want to leave for the EPL.
Yet the EPL's biggest stars are always salivating at the opportunity to taste La Liga.
And now look at the situation, the supposedly greatest league in the world is bankrupt of superstars. In two years, their biggest star will be Saka😭 and he will be that because La Liga clubs don't call him
