NVIDIA lied to every RTX 3090 owner. Again.
Hardware Unboxed just ran real DLSS Frame Generation on an RTX 3090 with a community mod. Not FSR, not a trick. They lined it up against a 5090 frame by frame, and the generated frames have the same artifacts in the same spots. It is the same model.
Then they turned on 4x frame gen in Cyberpunk on the 3090. Then 6x in Crimson Desert. Their verdict on pacing: "smooth, consistent, evenly paced output".
In 2022 NVIDIA said frame gen needs the optical flow hardware in the 40 series. In early 2025 DLSS 4 dropped that hardware and moved to an AI model on the tensor cores. The 3090 has tensor cores. The lock stayed anyway. HUB asked NVIDIA why. No answer.
2 weeks ago a kernel module showed my 3090s were doing fp32-accumulate tensor math at half speed. At full speed my BF16 tensor pipe went from 82 to 155 TFLOPS. Now this.
I own 4 of these cards. Stop locking parts of them so I buy the next one.
Turn it on officially, NVIDIA. For the 30 series and the 20 series too.

Ocarina of Time cartridge check! 💚
I’ve tested the Switch 2 revision 00 game card, which contains v1.0.0.
With airplane mode enabled, I could start and play without installing the update. An update prompt still appears, but you can cancel it and carry on playing.
Around two hours in, I haven’t noticed any issues. It’s been a lovely return to Hyrule so far.
A 343 MB day-one update is available, bringing the game to v1.1.1.

It lives in a file called thumbcache_256.db.
Forensic examiners pull it routinely.
There are 15 more hidden stores just like it.

Why should only the surgeon have a 3D view of the operation?
At Vanderbilt University Medical Center, head and neck cancer surgeon Dr. Michael Topf is using XREAL AURA and apoQlar's HoloMedicine® platform to bring stereoscopic surgical views to more members of the operating room team.
With HoloMedicine Robotics, additional team members can see the surgeon's perspective. And with Shared Experience, surgeons, radiologists, oncologists and pathologists can explore the same 3D medical model together, in real time.
From surgical collaboration to medical education, spatial computing is changing how medical teams visualize, share and understand complex anatomy.
