I'll explain: USF was the southernmost public university in the state when it was founded. Florida has traditionally been broken up into historic "North Florida," and more recently developed "South Florida." USF is in the heart of South Florida. Here's an old map for reference.
I'll never understand how South Florida is in Tampa. Never.

Next year's NCAA 28 will feature USF's new on-campus Stadium. I can't fucking wait.

Don’t want to rush to judgement until we hear from those in charge but that UTSA game continuing last night isn’t sitting right with me today.

I thought UTSA were just punks who pumped in crowd noise and cheated. Turns out it's much darker than that. The rot is institutional.
Dying at the Alamodome in front of a few thousand people and they still play the game afterwards and no one really gives a shit they watched you die

A U.S. Army officer falls to the field at high speed during a fast rope demonstration gone wrong during the Navy vs UTSA pregame tonight. The officer was attended to on the field and taken to the hospital on a stretcher. There has been no update on his condition but we pray that he was not seriously injured.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Air Force confirmed the service member, a USAF Airman, died from injuries after the rappelling demonstration. It was not a fast-rope or Army officer. taskandpurpose.com/news/airman-di… espn.com/college-footba…

Where’s the outrage of the navy football game taking place after that tragedy. All of you were ready to crucify Vince McMahon back in 1999 for going on with the show. #OwenHart

Perhaps the most disgusting thing about the UTSA incident is the lack of accountability from UTSA community. They care more about looking bad and being embarrassed then about a brave servicemen who lost his life. Fuck UTSA for real.
Grow up man, a service men passed away and you spread misinformation. This is serious and you continue to hate farm. You should be ashamed of yourself.

"He didn't die fast enough" is the excuse UTSA goons are making for why they still played. Absolutely mortifying.

The University of South Florida cannot move the ball against "Kent State." Can we call the attorney general or something? How is this legal?
